What's everybodies opinion on the Matrix films and the animatrix? I enjoyed the first one, loved the animatrix and can't stand the sequels.

I loved every single one of the Matrix movies and the animatrix was pretty cool... i liked the game a lot

the matrix has you...

I liked the movies, but the Animatrix lacked something, and I still can't think of it to this day.

Oh, and I thought the game sucked, too. And so will the MMORPG that's(supposedly) coming out.

i only saw the first one.
like 4 out of 9 animatrix
about half of the second one
and i never saw the third one

Craptastic. Except some of the Animatrix.

I've seen the first and second films and I think they're cool. I've heard the 3rd one is a disappointment

The animatrix sucked...uh...a lot...I DIDN'T SAY WANG!

EDIT: Damn you copyrights!

I don't think you can say Sucked wang.... I think its copyrighted or something.

04-20-2004, 03:02 PM
Haha damn. I'll have to edit it

Oh man, thats hilarious.

The first one is a very good movie. Reloaded was aboslute crap. Revolutions was better then reloaded, but no where near as good as the original. The Animatrix was trash, same with the game.

The first Matrix film is my favorite flim of all time.

Reloaded was "meh", okay. Tolerable but nothing grand.

I haven't seen Revolutions yet. (I was going to get it on DVD the other day but went home with Turtle Titan instead. ;)

And most, not all, of the Animatrix is great. Let's say...7 out of 9.

i loved all the films, theres so many messages in them, the plot is so well thought out.
i like that it really makes you think.

the animatrix was good, there was only one film i didnt like

i havent played all the game but what i have, i really like.

Oh man, thats hilarious.

Are you serious? And just for the record, I don't really believe it's copyrighted...okay :tcouch:

They were all pretty good (that includes Reloaded). I think most people didn't get what the deeper meanings and implications of the film were though. It was nice for a change not to have constant combat, but something a little more intelligent instead.

I think the Matrix would've been just fine without the two sequels, although the Animatrix is pretty damn cool...

04-20-2004, 04:21 PM
i thought the first film was great...the second one was ok
had really no desire to see the third film. i thought the animatrix wasn't too bad either. the game is so glitch and bug ridden that i could bring myself or my xbox for that matter to run it.lol

The Matrix Trilogy is ten times better than nearly every other trilogy (except Back to the Future and Star Wars)...even the overated Lord of the Rings, that's not a popular opinion...but it's one I like to stick with.

Not an extraordinary trilogy, but not a terrible one. The Matrix was great, Reloaded was okay, Revolutions is excellent. Pretty much, it would be great if it weren't for Reloaded's style over substance.

The original Matrix is good, but overrated. Reloaded was a good eye candy movie, and I really enjoyed Revolutions because it had good eye candy and an interesting plot. Overall I think the trilogy is very good. For the Animatrix, I like some of the shorts, but not all of them. Been too long since I watched them, so I can't say which ones I liked or not.
