Man, my last teaser til summer break, and its on a bunch of old geezers...
Yes, it is true.... no more teasers will be done by me for the season. I sadly do not have time to sit and write all the teasers for the remaining episodes. *sniffle*
So...I'll make it as good as I can.
ANYWAYS......
Yaaaay, theyre back in Northampton! :D The boys ran off to go comic shopping. I'm sure Splinter will just be hanging out at the farmhouse meditating again. Get off yer tail and practice a lil! we wanna see those Master Moves....! Can you imagine his reaction to what the boys're gonna tell him?
But yeh, theyre off comic searching. You know they HAVE to do a cameo of the original comic. They couldnt NOT do it...thats insane!
Justic Force...Justice League's lost cousins or something? Or maybe the Fantastic Four's uncles? *sees Richards wobble by* Uh...heh, hope Doom doesnt see that... :embarass:
So... a former member is plotting the demise of his fellow heroes. Who could it be?
Stainless Steel Steve, who's gotten a lil warped over the past few years (not to mention shorter?!)
Joey Lastic, who's looking like he could use a lil viagra?
Zippy Lad, a seemingly cheap knockoff of Flash Gordon (watch that wheelchair fly!!!)
Metalhead, the short Sonic the Hedgehog lookalike?
Or Dr. Dome, who...uh....eh..hasnt really changed much?
Dont you love seeing old superheroes come out of hiding/retirement to kick tail again?
Whats this fight that seems to be taking place? Old grudge? broken promises? borrowed someone's dentures by accident? Who knows..!!
STAY TUNED...!!! :D
In all the hub-bub, this was never unlocked. So I guess if anyone still feels like talking about it...

I thought this episode was awesome, its just a little suspicious that Casey called Steve his friend and during the entire episode they didn't even talk.

It wasn't too bad... Though a bit predictable. I mean, as soon as they said that the girl was gone for a year... I knew what was up.
But it was pretty good.

The Justice Force reminded me of the JSA and all those other classic comic book teams, which was nice. The story was a little bit like what's going on in JSA recently, what with the team being old, and coming back to kick some butt. Good episode. :tthumbsu:
They also announced that next week would be the season finale. Does that mean we only get one part of Big Brawl, or are they counting the whole thing as one long episode and we'll get all four episodes?

wow well that was a fun episode!
I have to say the Mirage comic of it was better though.....
buy that I mean I like the domoids more and dr. dome more in the comic then I did in the show for some reason...could just be eastman and lairds artwork though lol....but it was fun and I liked how they kept having the silver centry toy keep showing up....I am really suprised though they didn't do a little nod to the old comics or hell even the new ones in the comic book store....
so I bet we will get some cool toys of the Justice force what do you think?
I'd really want dr. dome the most with a domoid or his big dome robot!
that'd be so awsome...I mean seriously playmates want to incorperait action fetures into this new line these characters just scream action feture.
so yea I guess everyone else saw...and I'm not shocked at all that next week is the season finally......of course they would do that they want to keep us all wanting more for a long ass time and go crazzy waiting for new episodes......the preview did look awsome though splinter fighting thet huge dragon and a breif clip of Usagi!
wow I can't wait till next week!

I actually enjoyed this episode even though it was pretty much a filler. It stayed fairly close the Mirage issue #15 on which it is based, but there were some changes. I really liked it when the boys started fighting the Domebots on the roof, which they also did in the comic version. Although this episode was good for a filler, I'm ready for the Big Brawl. Usagi!!!

I never read that issue, but I really liked this ep. I liked the domebots, they were cool ( a dome bot battle a possible secret level in the game?)
Stainles Steel Steve and Metalhead are both in the new comic, and after watching that ep, I finally know who those people are.
I can't wait for THE BIG BRAWL. So freakin cool. Are Usagi and Gen in the first episode of it, or just the last one?

This episode was some what disapointing to me. I read the comic book which the episode was based on years ago. I didn't care much for it then because it was more like a dumb joke rather than a continuation of the story line. Mirage Studios released many TMNT comics with silly stories that don't fit in with the real dark, gritty, serious story line. The new series should not have included it. Stuff like this will make the TMNT look like a joke. Sorry for those who enjoyed the episode. I don't want to come off as a b1tch, It's just my personal opinion.

These kind of episodes always make me wonder. Comic book characters are supposed to be immortal. Or, in the comic pages, they're forever young. When it's like this, it makes me feel like these guys are real, like us, and takes a bit of the fiction and fantasy aspects away. Remember when they made a series where Batman was older and he had to get a replacement? What was that called? "Batman Beyond"? I didn't like it because we had some other person masquerading around in a bat suit. I know no one lives forever, but that's why we have the fictional world. It's like putting a hold on time and letting the characters live in the past and present only. I dunno, I guess the whole thing of aging super heroes is an upsetting sight for me. :(
I don't have the original comic, so I can't really compare them, and I have to judge this episode on it's own.
I did like it. The beginning reminds me a lot of my house, when all the kids are home. Everybody's being noisy and disruptive and simply getting on my nerves. Too bad my sibs don't like "road trips", (i.e. playing at a friend's house, the park, etc.)
I was very amused by the cliché old-school comic book feel. I mean, on one hand, it so reminded me of the few comics I've managed to save from my dad's old collection, and the eye-rolling dialogue and story line. But Mikey's comments about it being so like the comics made the whole thing that much funnier. I needed a good laugh this weekend.
I can't wait for next week. This arc's gonna rock so much.

Random stuff:
I read the synopsis for the original episode and I have to say, this was better, at least plotwise. Heh, now I know who most of the people at Splinters funeral were.
The beginning with the comic book was inspired. I liked it.
Good to see Casey being somewhat competent again, after his (realistic) fumbling in City at War.
I liked the super-heroes, who perfectly walked the line between legitimate and campy. Glad to see Zippy's 'first' appearace (he's a supporting cast member in the current series). BTW, there's one hero missing, right, Captain Deadbolt? What was he like?
Glad to see the Silver Sentry making a cameo, although I'm still hoping he makes it back for another episode.
Also, I'm glad to see the series isn't getting soft on us. This was one of the most serious and "mature" episodes in a while, despite the silliness.
Marty Isenberg writes Mikey the best. Funny, but not over the top.
Crap, more cycles? Don, the Battle Shell is enough; now lay off the vehicles.
Yay, turtles in jackets! Shades of the Archie future turtles.
Aw, hiatus after next episode? Dammit.
All in all, a very good one-shot, with enough twists and turns to keep me interested until the end.

I liked it. Metalhead never talked though. Is it a boy or a girl? I was getting kinda confussd in the love triangle when her daughter showed up. What was her name? I mean Bernice is sleeping around and now she has a kid!!!! Wow that screams Maury!

I thought the ep was not as good as I thought. IT was funny when splinter was flipping out on them.
For northampton why didn't they show the wal-mart and stop and shop there? I went there (to northampton) last summer and went to wal-mart on teh way to springfield. That would have made the ep neater and more fun to see.
IT was good of them to have the story take place in northampton because that is where the studio for turtles is.
I never expected to see silver sentury too soon. Maybe they will have him make another (2nd since this one did not count since he was a toy) appearance in season 3.
Justice force reminded me of fantastic four.

Um...
Probably because if they showed a real-life store like that, they'd have to pay them money to use the name, I think.
Hehe... the TMNT hit Walmart... that would be a sight to see.

What was her name? The daughter's name was Amanda, which I thought was cool because that's the name of a well-known TMNT fan online: Amandatello! It's like, how many people can you think of in the TMNT universe with names of online fans? Unless there's a lot of April fans, I can hardly think of anyone that I know who shares the same name of a character in TMNT!

This board has been down for days. Do you guys know how many times I been trying to get in here but the 403 Forrbiden Sign would keep poping up.
Anyway I been looking forward to this episode for a while. And I like this one allot more than Unconvincing TurtleTitan, Since these superheros been around much long than Silver Sentry.
I thought Mike Pollock would play one of them but I couldn't tell.
Stainless Steve is my favorite of the bunch along with Joey Lastic.
My favorite parts are when Mikey would act out the comic book and Splinter trying to get some quite around.
The Comic book geeks at the Shop asking the Turtle who they are(reminds me of FanBoy from Freakazoid).
Silver Sentry Action Figure was a nice camoe.
The Domenoids are bit neat, cause they are just as easy as beating the Mousers.
I thought Dr. Dome was going to do some villian stuff but it turn out to be Battling Bernice's Daughter Amanda.
Very surprising to see that she was also Dome's Daughter when she reveals she's a person with a dome head.
I really like this episode. Retired Superheros are always cool.
I give it 5 out 5 stars.
I hope we'll see the Justice Force again. :D

I thought this was a great episode, and I just couldn't wait to see it. Somhow, I actually would rather this be the season finalie, since it's a one shot episode, and you don't have to wait a summer for the rest of the story...
I liked most of the changes from the comic, though I did miss that stone guy who Froze himself to death in a John Travolta pose I always loved that gag....

Slight correction here, peeps: Her name is ANANDA. Both here and in TMNT Vol. 1, #15. It's no thing, though. Amanda and Ananda sounda an awful lot alike...especially if you're wrapped up in the actiona and not paying very close attention.
All-in-all, this was pretty good ep. I really liked how close it was to the original comic. So some miniscule things were different (like Ananda being the "villian" in it). Meh. It was still a pretty good ep. Can't wait for the "Big Brawl", though. THAT sound ROCK!!!

Oh, it was that way in the book? Alrighty, but ya know? I was guessing on Ananda at first because that's what it sounded like. Then, I was talking to someone in AIM and they said it can't be Ananda because it's Sanskrit. Looking it up, the name means "Spiritual bliss, joyful." That's why I figured it'd be Amanda instead and then...went from there. You can tell I haven't read the original issue in ages. But, looking up the name, Ananda, it's very interesting!

Yeah.. I gotta say, as much as I love Shredder, it's nice to have them go off on adventures without him once and awhile...
It's like Batman always having to fight the Joker, the Riddler, or Penguin. No Raz a Ghoul (SP?) no one shot villains... just Penguin/Joker/Riddler.... I think that if all the eps were about Shredder, the series wouldn't be as strong as it is.
If anything, non-Shredder episodes build up the tension for the episodes with him in them. It's like if you have Pizza every night for dinner... there wouldn't be anything to look forward too, and it wouldn't be a treat, or as rare. but if you have a variety of meals, and pizza on occasion, it makes the pizza more special. Sorry about to over use of metaphores....

I really enjoyed this episode. There were tons of funny things going on, and it was pretty entertaining for a "filler" episode. I liked how it closely it followed the original Mirage comic that it was based off of, yet there were plenty of different twists. For example, the kidnappings of the various heroes, as well as the surprise ending. I wasn't expecting Battling Bernice to be Dr. Dome's daughter, since her father was never revealed in the comics. In fact, Dr. Dome was behind all of the attacks, so seeing Bernice as the culprit was even more of a surprise. All in all, I thought it was great. I'm just sad that next week will be the last new episode we'll be seeing in a while. :(

I can tell Casey didn't speak to Steve much. He said he's knows him but he didn't say anything like "We enjoying talking about comics all the time" or "He's a super friend as if he were to be an actul superhero".
Course Casey doesn't really look like the type to collect comics, he looks more of the type to collect Sports Magazines.
Funny that Metalhead was the only member of the team that didn't speak much.

Awesome episode! I love how they altered Doc Dome and Battling Bernice's storyline in this one! The other 4 dudes are pretty much the same as they were/are in the comics.

Hey, you're entitled to your opinion and I'm glad you adressed your feelings in a mature manner.
However, I must disagree with what you say about the TMNT looking like a joke just because they got alittle cornball in this episode. There was a little comment Michelangelo said in this episode about taking comic books so seriously, which is true to some of us real life fans. We take this fictional stuff way too seriously at times and it causes us to loose touch with reality.
This was a fun episode that I like. I'm a comic book fan so it helped me to like it even more. Why do people call this a filler episode if there is a comic based on this episode?
J Legault
05-12-2004, 03:03 PM
Well this episode which is non-shredder plotted but it does come from the Mirage comics. So this episode is considered to be Mirage/Filler episode. Which is like Original and Filler at the same time.

It's not a filler episode it's part of the plot and these are reoccurring characters.....I am really starting to get ticked by people calling adapted episodes filler.....but it seems to be that the people calling these episodes filler are Shreddafiles....yes I just made up the term lol I think it fits for people addicted to shredder.
But seriously everything in this new series is connected in some way just about and just about every character is a reoccurring one so any of this for the show atleast is filler....

I agree, this isn't a "filler" episode really. And Shredder needs to go away for awhile, I hope he doesn't show up until at least halfway through Season 3. There are plenty of other characters that can be used, and plenty of unused Mirage stuff as well. Shredder should never go away completely, but it would it get old if they continued to bring him back as often as they have been.

That's a bit of an exaggeration, since he's not been used hardly at all in Season 2. Just look atthe episodes he actually has a part in. Hell, he was bearly in City at War, and Secret Origins pt. 1 he only appears in the history files of the Utroms. Saying he was over-used or used often in Season 2 is not fair. :)
Season 2 - 26 Episodes
---------------------------
Shredder Appearances - 6 or 7
Secret Origins pt. 1
Secret Origins pt. 2
Secret Origins pt. 3
Reflections - Doesn't really count, since it's all flashbacks
City at War pt. 3
Rogue in the House pt. 1
Rogue in the House pt. 2

Dr. Stockman has Mousers
Dr. Malignus has Mind Control Bug
Dr. Finn has Sorty Orbs
Dr. Dome has Domeoids
I just notice they all have craving feelings for Machines to do all their work.
Well tommorrow will be Part 1 of 4 Big Brawl Quatriology. :)

True... but I think Shredder was used better in Season 1. In Season 2, they ran into the big problem: They can't actually kill Shredder, but they can't just let him be defeated and leave either. So we get to see Shredder "die" and come back just a little too often.
From the few spoilers that've come out though, Shredder is going to be put to much better use in Season 3, so I'm not too worried.
