You can shrink it using any paint program. If you are using Windows, then it comes with Paint. You can use that to shrink the size. There is an option to fix the size. :)

Well, I used my Paint Shop Pro. Program to shrink it down. But there are alot of other programs that will let you shrink the size. :)

Well, that one did, yeah... But you can still use the Paint program that comes with the computer.

Or... they sell value software Paint Programs. They usually run about $9.99, if you don't want to spend lots of money on a program. :)

There are lots of freeware image editing programs available on the internet (though Photoshop is the best, if you can afford/acquire it). If you're interested, check out these programs (I'm sure there are more, but these are two of the most popular ones of their type).

The GIMP (http://www.gimp.org/) is an open source, community developed image editor. It's relatively easy to use. Look here (http://www.gimp.org/windows/) for a Windows installer. This program might seem intimidating (because it's designed for Linux), but if you set aside some time to mess around with it, you should find it to be pretty intuitive and powerful.

Irfanview (http://www.irfanview.com/) is a simple image viewer that lets you adjust various things (such as height, width, color depth, etc). Give it a look!

I have a similar question about avatars. On my PC there are some pics I can't see. All I get is that damn annoying white square with the red "X" in it. I right-click and select "Show Picture" but nothing happens. What is the problem and is there a way to fix it?

It's possible that website/link that the image came from either isn't there anymore, has exceeded it's bandwith limit for a particular amount of time or maybe someone typed the image link in wrong.

Photobucket works too, (of course you have to upload it there first).

And I have a question, can I make this into my av'?

It's possible but if you don't have the right program it would take some work plus the file size would probably end up being too big for an avatar.

well I have seen some people on the drome with those little clips on their avatars so how do they do that?
And is there any sites I can upload that little video on to like the photobucket does with picures?
And I've got another Q, is it possible to turn that into a screensaver?
thanks.

There are some animation programs that will turn a video file into an animated gif automatically. But for a quicktime movie(.mov like the stargate one) the only program that I can think of right now that will do that is photoshop(I'm pretty sure that it can). There are image programs that will extract images from video files. You can make a screen saver out of images and sound so yeah you can make a screen saver out of it using another program. You should check for freeware for some of the stuff that you want to do. The program has to not only do the task you want but it has to support the type of files you want to work with.

I just checked and you can extract images using the quicktime player. Although this would probably take a long time since you would have to do it manually one image at a time.

My computer don't have Photoshop.

Neither does mine. Photoshop is one of the most expensive image programs out. Do you know anyone who has the program? Maybe you can ask them to make the gif for you.
