MAME question

To all of you out there that use MAME as the arcade emulator of choice, this question's directed to you: is there any way to extract the sprites/graphics out of the ROMs without having to take screenshots and edit them with PaintShop Pro/Photoshop or the like?

I ask because I have a certain "project" in mind that deals with using some of the sprites from the TMNT arcade game.

Sorry, but we cannot reply to this because emulators are for the most part illegal unless you own the actual game.

Well, emulators themselves aren't illegal, but the ROMs can be if you don't own the actual game. Linking to ROMs isn't allowed on these forums, but it's OK with me if people discuss (and link to) emulators. Thanks for helping out with moderating though, DarthRaph.

Sorry, i don't know how to rip sprites from mame rezonrite...

I tried to download the zip files and inside em there were .gam files...i think they're files to use with klik and play and such game creation apps, not sprites...
I found some sprites in gif format tho, in a site called game sprite archives

None of those will do...and that previous site you posted had some GREAT ones too from the arcade game!

Yeah, I'm trying to specifically get the ones from the first arcade game. Thanks for helping me out anyway.
