Hey, I was just wondering if there are any Tintin fans around here? As in Tintin with the little dog Snowy, Captain Haddock and Professor Calculus?

I for one am a big Tintin fan!! I have all the comic books that have at least been transilated into English, and I have seen bits of the tv show but didn't like it :dead: anyway hers your chance to talk about Tintin!!!

I think I used to watch the TV show...doesn't have two twin guys named "Thompson and Thompson" too?

Wow! I haven't thought about Tin-Tin in forever! That was one amusing guy, but I only saw the TV show. I think the only thing I remember was he and the Captain guy singing, "Yo ho ho, and a bottle of rum, Red Rockin's Treasure, here we come!" or something along those lines. Whoa...talk about your flashbacks, I remember exactly what I was wearing, where I was sitting, and who I was with when I watched that episode. *shakes head* Weird...thanks for bringing that up!

Good!!! I love tintin!! that episode which you reffer to must be From "The Secret of the Unicorn" or "Red Rackham's treasure"

Yes there are 2 detectives named Thompson and Thomson they are exactly alike except for the fact that Thompson had slightly out reached mustatch, I think. They aren't twins though, In fact they aren't even related!!

:lol: The comic book is what counts, the tv show didn't look great :dead:

a tintin pc game eh? I played a snes game based off The Prisoners of the Sun but nothing else...

Perhaps the pc version of the game was a conversion of the snes version to the pc...i think it had the same title and everything...

What i want to see is the game :D maybe i'll download the snes rom and perhaps the pc game if it's abandonware already.

Non-english??? Well, gee, then I'll be sure to read the english versions. What is it written in? Greek? Spanish? Russian? Pig Latin?

well it was orriginally written in French and actually most of the books have been put into 30+ languages :teek: Only the original 2 books aren't in English; Tintin in the land of the soviets ( :lol: ) and Tintin in the Congo also there is a unfinished book because Herge died while making it called Tintin and the Alpha art...

so in total there were 24 books?22 in english and 2 more in French?

nope :P My bro and I worked hard to get them all, we also have quite a few Astrix books but thats for a diffrent thread :D
