First post here, so I'll make it an extra GOOD one! I work at TOYS R US and while checking the computer system today, I discovered a TMNT treasure trove just waiting to hit stores in this region. The new Turtles toys are in the system, and not only that, a heap of them are at my Distribution Center! Here's the run-down for all of it, including skn numbers, retail prices at TRU stores, and the number of pieces of merchandise (POS) at this particular locale:
TMNT Figure Asst-skn673752-$5.99-(4400@DC)
TMNT Vehicles-skn673903-$10.99-(2142@DC)
TMNT Armored TRuck-skn673938-$19.99-(1100@DC)
TMNT 12" Dlx. Figure Asst.-skn673954-$19.99-(1100@DC)

This is all at the Distribution Center (DC) which ships to the Gulf States Region, specifcally the houston area. I persona;;y work at the Woodlands TRU in Texas, if you're ever in the area. This is still GREAT news even for those of you in other areas, as it means the product has begun ditribution, and could launch quite soon, indeed. Are we excited yet? The prices aren't bad either, and you know discount chains like Wal-Mart will be even cheaper! Happy hunting!

Hey, I was just in San Antonio last weekend! At least you're better off than the people in Europe that frequent these boards! Odds are, they'll end up in your 'hood soon, too, if they haven't already! (Uh, the toys, not the Europeans...)

I'm planning on buying two of each small figure and maybe one each of the vehicles. I'll keep one set of figures in package, and open the other. I'm still trying to decide whether I should tell my friends and family that I want TMNT for the holidays, or just buy myself a case.

My guess is, they'll be out in November, just in time for the Christmas rush. I can't help but wonder when we'll see them...date wise.

I open all my toys. (Unless I end up with a double.) I do hang on to most of the packaging, but the resale value on most new toys isn't high enough to merit my purchase of extra TMNT stuff. (And I even get most of my toys for FREE!) I'll get at least one of everything-(unless the Turtle varients get to be too far-out. I'll hold off if they go the route of CowboySamuraiSpaceRaiderMutants, or any of the crazy things they did before.) My fiancee will most likey get most of the figures as well. I'll likely pass on the 12" figures, as well. I will keep everyone posted as far as the movement of merchandise from the DC-but keep in mind, this is just the Gulf States Region (It is likely the situation is similar in most other American areas as well. As for out-of-America...Sorry guys, we'll tell you how great they are as we play with them and you...wel, wait.).

The point is to have one still in the package when the resale value IS high.

How much are the toys are going to cost? I will only buy one each because I wouldn't waste my money on two if it cost like 15 to 20 bucks..

Don't worry; if the value of the OLD toys is around 15 bucks now, then fresh new ones won't cost much. Besides, it'd be kinda ludicrous to sell kid toys for such a high price.

The prices are listed in the first post on this thread. And the truth of the matter is, toys are not going up in value the way the older ones are. Even the old TMNT toys can be found for very cheap prices, most times at not much more than their original store prices. If anyone's planning on buying doubles for the sole-reason of hoping to make a buck down the road, they might want to forget it. Everyone and his brother buys doubles anymore-so who exactly is going to buy these extras? ...Of course, there's the people who have to have evrything before their pals as well as people in foreign countries that will have to wait up to a year most times to get new American toys, so EBay can be your pal, then.

Does anyone remeber back a few years ago when they re-issued some of the old TMNT figures? I personally collect action figures (it's not a very big collection at that!) I had one of the re-issues, and I also have a "Next Mutation" one as well, (Venus).

I remember learning about the re-issue the first time I checked out the Official TMNT Website, so I bought fresh versions of all four original turtles and Krang's Android Body. I also got Tokka and Grand Slammin' Raph.

I just noticed that the new TMNT figures are now listed on Amazon/Toys R Us. Release date is December 15th. The figures are priced $7.99.

The other items: vehicles $11.99, Deluxe armored truck $21.99, and 12" figures are $19.99. Release date on these is listed as 1/1/03

I'm sure its a mistake, but I don't see Shredder listed.
