When we first learned that Shredder was an utrom back in Secret Origins, we find out that his voice is different when he's out of his Shredder/Oroku Saki suit. He also had that same voice when he caused the Utrom spaceship to crash on earth 1,000 years ago. His voice outside the Shredder suit continued to be the same up until Rogue in the House.

However, beginning with Same As It Never Was, his voice outside the Shredder suit would be the same voice as the one inside the Shredder suit all the time. And it was also like that in Exodus and Turtles Forever.

What's everyone's thoughts on this?

I was just amazed at not only how well the animation was done, but how good the fight choreography was. For goodness sakes, they actually put work into the fights instead of just generic short punches/kicks.

While the TMNT fighting other aliens/monsters were alright, nothing produces the same level of excitement as all those Foot Soldier and/or Shredder fights the series produced.

They're the highlight of this series IMO.

Both times I've watched "Turtles Forever" that scene in the OT Turtle Lair always makes me wish they had somehow found out so we could have seen their faces as the implications for them would probably be profound. Rather than learning from the fabled ninja's pet, they may have some newfound respect for the OT Turtles since they are learning from the master himself.

Also, I thought it odd when the OT Turtles reacted so strangely to Leo exclaiming "Father!" when reunited with Splinter.

After all, you can stream all 2k3 episodes (which includes FF and BttS) on their website. When does Nick start airing 2k3 episodes? Will it be daily? I'll need to DVR them. Sure, I can watch them any time online (legally and...well not so legally) but I like to see them on TV since I don't have the DVDs anymore.

I get misty-eyed in certain spots when watching "Turtles Forever". :tgrumble:
Yeah, my passion for the Turtles runs pretty damn deep. I'm not just hardcore, I'm "crazy hardcore"! :twink:

The two scenes I'm referring to specifically are the Multiverse Collage and the very end with Kevin and Pete (which Nick conveniently cut out! :x)

I think the multiverse scene gets me because it showcases the Turtles in almost every incarnation, and really makes the mind begin racing wondering what other Turtleverses we didn't see. The ending gets me for the very simple fact that it took a love letter to the fans to get the two men who created the Turtles together again. Yeah, I know they each recorded their respective lines on opposite sides of the country at different times, but their voices in the movie make it seem as if their differences were set aside for one last hurrah.

Pete's little chuckle after Kevin's line carries a hint of subtle significance.

The movie is freakin' great and I love how the story was implemented. It's the culmination of 25 years of the Turtles all coming together at once! The greatest thing about my childhood meeting the original version of themselves is almost like fan overload. :tgrin:

Anyway, yeah, just wanted to put this out there.

Well, I didn't see another topic like that, I'm sorry if it already exist...

I'm really curious to know who are your favorites and least favorites characters and it would be nice if you could explain why you like or dislike them. It can be from feason 1-2-3-4, from the Ninja tribunal season, from Fast Forward or from Back to the Sewers. I won't add a poll because there is too many characters... And please, don't write only your favorite turtle, I want to know which characters peoples likes beside the turtles!

Here's my personal favorites:
Donatello: Actually, he's the only turtle, and the only good guy in my favorites. He always been my favorite turtle, because he's the brain of the bunch, he's more pacifist than the others, his weapon is my favorite out of the 4 and his bandana is my favorite color.

Baxter Stockman: I always found funny that he keep losing parts of his body... And I like that he keep coming back even when everybody else (even Shredder) would've be dead. But what really make him one of my favorite is the "Insane in the membrane" episode, because it so sad that it maked me cry... and I like when a villain can make me cry because of his past... Baxter is just a good guy who've make wrong choices...

Hun: Most of peoples don't like Hun, but I like him. I like his design and his tatoos, and the fact that he's smarter than he seem. And I started to like him even more in the BttS episode "SuperQuest" :D

Dr. Chaplin: Well, I like his fanboyish attitude toward Stockman and that he doesn't seem to fit at all with the villains. He's way too nice to be a villain, but still work for them... And he's really cute when he have his goatee (In the Ninja Tribunal and BttS seasons)

John Bishop: I don't really know why I like him, I just like him... Maybe it's because he seem so sure that he is the good guy...

Least favorites:
The only characters I don't like are Utrom Shredder and Cyber Shredder, because for me, Shredder is human. I can tolarate Tengu Shredder since he's a human possesed by a demon, but the others two just doesn't sound right to me...

Least Favorites: The Christmas Aliens [not that I don't like Christmas, I just don't really like watching 'Christmas Episodes' if it 'tisn't the season], not sure what else; Season 3 was pretty great!

Season 4 and UP -

I believe someone mentioned in a different thread I was reading that the video quality is BETTER in the 'Season Set' releases. Is this true? If so, I'm a bit bummed because I picked up the individual discs instead of the season sets [mainly to make the 'spine picture' of the boys, plus the box set of 1-4 came with cool little action figures].

This hardly makes sense, since the individual discs are only 3 or 4 episodes per single layer disc [allowing more than 1 GB per episode], whereas the season sets have up to 7 episodes per [presumably] dual-layer disc, which also works out to roughly 1 GB per episode. I assumed they would use the exact same source material for both versions, but you know what they say about assuming. Did they re-encode or re-master the shows for the season sets?

If there is a difference in image quality, is it a big enough difference that I should ditch the individual discs? Are there ANY benefits to owning the individual releases [besides the cool spines], like exclusive 'extras' or other TMNT-centric bonus features?

Thanks in advance for any insight you guys might provide!

The “Turtles Forever” movie originally aired on television in 2009. Will you be tuning in?

Neat! Hopefully it will be the full movie that was on the 4Kids! site last December. I never had the patience to sit and watch it online.

this is inspired by the "is Donatello a good fighter" thread. Mikey was quite the boastful turtle in the 2k3 series and LOVED to talk about what an awsome fighter he was. Now I know Mikey is no slouch but do you think Mikey was as a good of a fighter as he made himself out to be? He sort of made himself out to be fighting God that didn't need to train (even though he was shown he did). And yet when confronted with a fight he would usually try to back out of it or noticably get scared, and even freak. (battle nexxus anyone?) I kind of noticed several times that he gets nocked down (sometimes he's the first to go down) and needs his ass saved perodically. And occassianlly he got beat up. But yet he is shown as athletic and effective and has taken on opponents on his own. So did 2k3 Mikey's prowess as fighter back up his boastful attitude?
