Here's a few more wax/clay sculpt i dug up over the weekend to snap pictures of:

Sewer Spittin' Lifeguard Leo

http://forum.rebelscum.com/photogall...uardLeoWax.JPG

Shredder

http://forum.rebelscum.com/photogall...hredderWax.JPG

The Shredder sculpt is interesting because it comes with 2 heads...one wax/clay sculpted head sans helmet, and the other; a urethane hardcopy head with a helmet sculpted on in wax/clay.

I once saw a prototype of Scratch on ebay. The thing for selling for over $5000!! Although I'm sure there would be some who would list it for over 9000....:D

I hope you donĀ“t mind If I add this one

Ninjarap thanks for sharing those pictures! Those are certainly some choice pieces featured, especially the painted Hardcopies! The paint job shows up so much better on urethane! The details are amazing!

That piece in your collection is very pretty.

Also, welcome to the drome.

So envious of that Purple Dragon! I was so bummed when they didn't produce that figure :( Great collection man!

Does anyone want a blue spotted Mondo Gecko? I think it should've been a varient.

Some TMNT related items arrived in the mail today

Non- production colored first shot Wingnut & Screwloose...unfortunately missing its torso. Anybody has a damaged Wingnut that i could swipe the torso off?

And here's another lot i've been really excited to get my hands on:

Parts for the unproduced Giant Cyber Samurai

http://forum.rebelscum.com/photogall...muraiParts.JPG

Although i've still yet to see even a picture of an actual prototype of the complete figure, having the pieces here, shows me that they were pretty advanced with the work done on this before it was cancelled.

There is a mix of styrene(?) scratch built pieces which are subsequently cast in urethane resin to make hardcopy parts.

The only reference picture i have of the Giant Cyber Samurai is this one here:

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3538/...0585f3c5_o.png

Does anybody know of any other reference photos for it? i'd be interested to see more if anybody can help.

Uncle Gundy :)

Just looked at your Vintage prototypes... all I can say is WOW!! Awesome stuff!!

Przem 01-30-2014 01:45 PM

Amazing prototypes. All of the ones displayed. Would it be possible to scan the Mega Mutant Ant and use a 3D printer to create copies? I would love to have the physical item.

darthwahl56 04-24-2014 11:59 PM

I know this thread is old, but I concur with the last comment on creating a 3-D scan for the mutant ant, also that idea would be great for most of those other unproduced figures. I would by those bootlegs in a heart beat. Scratch and Shoate bootlegs, even badly painted I would by them right now for a decent price, not like the prices the regular ones go for. :tsmile:
