Turtle Turncoat and Turtle Tales Comic series

Hello to anyone out there who knows me.

My names Tony Day and I draw a fan comic called Turtle Turncoat.
It can be viewed here at the address below:
http://www.trydowave.com

In future I will be posting my updates here.
Makes more sense letting people know here in the fan art section than in the general TMNT discussion forum.

I have just put page 49 up on my website.

More updates coming soon...

Tony :D

BTW - what exactly has that blue quivering zombie in his head (the one from your site)? :-?

Tony Day 08-20-2005 03:44 AM

:) That's a little animation I did years ago while playing around with Macromedia flash.
It's a cartoon version of a character called J.P. Monroe in the film
Hellraiser III.

He gets this weird drill ramed into his head? Don't know exactly what it is to be honest?
You'll proberbly find the movie in a bargain bin now for a couple of quid.
He's a cenobite: You might of heard of the more famous one, Pinhead.

When I first created the site I was just mucking around with all the stuff, trying to put movies and flash animation in there etc... there no real reason for it being on the site.

Talk to u laterz...
Tony

-->> Hey,Tony.. it's me,tOkKa.. you prolly don't remember me.

You've been working hard past few years and had your TMNT manga addies a few years back on Mikey's TMNT. You know (knew ?!) my friend,Dawn. I saw her last month at comic-con.

May i pimp your stuff again on Mikey's ?!
:o

..it's sweet and i'm sure the kids would love to see your ol' school inspired stuffs !! :D

Jester 08-20-2005 12:08 PM

I can't see it...:(

KROW 08-20-2005 12:39 PM

Your drawings are fantastic, yet along with Jester, I can't see most of your works. The pages load up as text only.

Direct link ;)

They're right Tony. Your site doesn't work fine with my FF or even IE. HTML coding is all we can see. The only way I can view your artwork is by typing the exact direct link to the image and then changing the number. It's not very comfortable, though. :ohwell:

Tony Day 08-20-2005 02:59 PM

Sorry to hear about that.
I've viewed my site from lots of different PCs and macs around the country (Well, various location around London and the Isle of Wight) and they have all worked?
Unfortunately using a PC and especially dreamweaver is not my strong point. It's a mystery how I got the site up and running at all really...

I'd appreciate it if anyone out there can give me hand with my site so everyone can view it, Tell me how to re-name a particular page link for example...

Hi ya Tokka. Good to hear from u again. I haven't spoken to Dawn in ages, I thought she had given all the turtles (and harry potter) stuff up and got on with married life?? or something like that.
Hope shes doing alright, say hi to her for me when u see her next pls.

Laterz all :D

Html

I've been having a look at my website. The problem might be that in the old days I used to just name my pages:
(example)
http://www.btinternet.com/~general_zod/turtles35.web
U might not be able to view this page as it ends in turtles35.web

(New Example:)
http://www.btinternet.com/~general_z...tles49.web.htm
Where this one u should be viewing ok as it finishes in turtles49.web.htm

I could be wrong though, but as I am viewing it fine on other machines it could be something wrong with your individual browser settings. Thats my theory for people using IE anyway.
As for FF I couldn't say.

Tony

It works with my FF perfectly! :D So you should just rename the older pages to the "...web.htm" and everything's gonna be alright, man ;)

Tigerfog 08-20-2005 06:32 PM

Oh Tony Day! I've been eager to meet you ever since I read your comic for quite a while now!
Your fan comic is amazing! It's obviously a tribute to the TMNT classic cartoon... it takes a lot of dedication to fill those pages with so much details and to color them like you do!
*bows*
I'll wait patiently for the next pages now... ;)

Website fixed!

Hi. I've just fixed all the links to my site, so all of it can be viewed now.

I discovered that half my gallery needed fixing, as well as one animation link and nearly all my Turtle pages (bit daft as that's what most people are trying to look at).
I downloaded Firefox so I could test the broken links and they all worked.
Can someone please try it on firefox (or whatever browser u were having trouble with) and get back to me so I know that it's working correctly.

Another thing, I've improved all my prototype Turtle pages. I scanned in my orginal prints so u can actually read them now.

Hope that sorts everything out. Laterz

Tony :)

Howdy

Hi Tigerfog
Great to meet to u. I have to admit im a fan of your's too. I love your work. Great artwork and a script to match. I see your a fan of anime like myself. Tell me, what's your main influences?
Thank you for commenting on the effort I take drawing my comic, but I'll have to say if I had your dedication I might have actually finished it by now.

It's great to meet a fellow artist on these forums, hope to talk to u again soon.

Tony :D

I've just checked it out and all of them work perfectly fine with my FF.

But then - if I can suggest you one thing - I find the navigation panel in your comic pretty unconfortable to use. After watching one page, I have to return to the gallery site and then choose next page. And so on and so forth... Could you add some links referring to the previous and following page below the currently viewed one? Or, you can add linkage to the bigger images - clicking on one would redirect readers to the next one and it should be less work with that.

BTW - I really liked "April prototype" ;)

Tony Day 08-21-2005 05:01 AM

Cheers for checking Rob.
As long as they work that's all that matters for the moment.
I might add those things u mentioned, but another day. Just spent a few hours this morning on the site and I've had enuf.

Laterz mate :D

Garou 08-21-2005 07:05 AM

This is really an amazing comic, Tony!!! I simply love your style

Jaf 08-22-2005 01:25 AM

Hi, Tony! Love your work (but you already know that).

You wrote in the «prototype pages» section that you no longer had the originals of those pre-Turncoat work. Is it true? Can't we find the rest of it anywhere? Not even in paper form? That would be sad; such quality fanwork is rare on the net, and it would please many people to see it (even if just for «historical interest» ;) )

Tony Day 08-22-2005 11:46 AM

Hi Jaf.
I do still have the prototype pages, but only on paper. I lost the jpgs ages ago. So I scanned em in and put them on my website replacing the ones that I nicked of Dawnatellos site. I gave her a copy of the orginal jpgs and she saved them as these little blurry things.
The quality of the prototypes is better but is not a hundred percent.

Most of my stuff is now gone in its orginal form and now only exists on the web.
