1990 Movie to be released with alternate Ending and Deleted Scenes...

... in Germany.
On March 12th the very first TMNT Movie will finally see a official german DVD Release (there were many Bootleg Releases in the Past) and its full of Special Feature the american Audience has never seen or "heard" before:
* Trailer
* Deleted Scenes
* Alternate Ending
* Audiocommentary by director Steve Barron

Its strange that no other Country was offered to include those Special Features on their Release of the Movie!

Here the Labels Site of the DVD: http://www.winklerfilm.de/index.php?...z_filmdaten=30
Here the amazon Link if a collector is interested: http://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B003...pf_rd_i=301128

Heres the german Covershot:

Barron doesn't speak in German does he? :-)

I wonder when the commentary track was recorded. Perhaps there really were/are plans for a US special edition release?

What the fu*k?

Audiocommentaries to foreign Movies (Non-German) are always englisch with german Subtitles ;)
Well except Disney Movies - they even dub the Commentary Track in Germany:lol:

:teek: THAT'S AWESOME! :D So, Australia 1-ups us with the BttS DVDs, now Germany 1-ups us with the original movie bonus content. The TMNT aren't showing much national pride lately...

P.S. - WinklerFilms? As in "The Fonz"? :P

A mod should really change the title, its misleading for americans. I just metaphorically crapped my pants for utter dissapointment.
Perhaps '1990 film german special edtion' or something...

Raph 02-06-2010 01:49 PM

Still, this is awesome news!! We are finally getting something!!!!!!

Roseangelo 02-06-2010 02:01 PM

Oooooh... now this really has potential!

lilmotto 02-06-2010 02:02 PM

Yeah i just got really excited then mildly disappointed. That was fast! Who knows maybe they will release that content here sometime (though if you figured they would the 25th anniversary editions would have been a good time) :tcry:

Yeah! Where's all the cool sh*t for Italy? :P

Raph's Girl 02-06-2010 02:34 PM

Yay for Germany....I'd pack up and move back if I had the cash....

Kendamu 02-06-2010 02:41 PM

Yay for Germans! Now... what about American fans?

Roseangelo 02-06-2010 02:44 PM

People complaining about this being Germany-only need to spend some time on Google and learn about region locking. I cannot stress enough how much of a non-factor this should be for everyone.

:teek: Someone better like have clips shown on Youtube or something for us to see, I am so curious now lol.

CyberCubed 02-06-2010 03:19 PM

Isn't the film dubbed in German though? If we were to import it, what good does it do if its not the english one?

The DVD, as most of the german DVDs, includes a german Audio Track and an english Audiotrack!

If you're going to import it, you'll also able to watch the Movie in english!

Both links provided in the first post of the thread claim an English 5.1 audio track as well as German stereo.

That's not the problem, it's the shipping cost. And I dunno how German currency compares to ours.

I know it's just a few extra bucks... but I just wish there'd be an American release too.

CyberCubed 02-06-2010 04:17 PM

Is this even on Blu-ray?

I just bought the movie boxset on Blu-ray, this isn't just on DVD is it?
