Green Arrow tv series
 
Ok. So there's a Green Arrow tv series that was picked up by the CW. Currently it's simply being called Arrow.

Character details for CW Network's upcoming Green Arrow series has been revealed. Looks like Black Canary is in it (altho she's not Black Canary yet...) and Oliver Queen's mom is alive...Speedy is um... now his cousin and her name is Thea...

Oliver Queen is a “27 year old reformed bad boy.” He spent five years shipwrecked on a tiny, dangerous island. He returns to Starling City “a different man.”

Dinah “Laurel” Lance is 28, and she’s “a legal aid attorney determined to use her life as a one-woman war against the 1%” following the death of her sister Sara (Sara was on the boat Ollie and his dad were on. Yeah. Laurel isn't too keen on Ollie for the death of her sis)

Tommy Merlyn - Ollie's best bud. Doesn't like the changes in his friend. Bit of a frat boy.

Moira Queen - Ollie's mom and in charge of the Queen fortune. Remarried in the 5 years since her husband Robert, son Ollie, and Sara Lance disapeared. Her hubby's name is Walter.

Thea Queen - Ollie's lil sis. Only one allowed to call him Ollie. Bit of a celebutant bad girl. Ollie calls her speedy.

There's also a bodyguard for Ollie that he keeps on skipping out on. A fellow named John Diggle

Oh yeah the town? Starling City....I suppose the Birds of Prey could get their start there. *lol*

Oliver Queen has been cast....He will be played by Stephen Amell. Best known for being on the show "Hung"...meh....

Im a such a huge Smallville fan! Like mega huge!! Ive got props from the show and replicas, and Im torn on this idea of Arrow. Justin Hartley was the ideal Oliver Queen. And for the cw to do a psyeudo spin off with out him is kinda weird.

I guess ill have to wait and see.

Hartley's Green Arrow was a piss-poor version of the character, his fangirls need to read the comics and get an education on GA.

Amell looks the part more than him too. Looking forward to a more comics-accurate portrayal.

Haha:lol: funny comment but Im not a fangirl! Just a fan. I peraonally liked his portayal. I know its not identical to the comics, due to it being a Clark Kent based show. But thats my opinion and you know people say about opinions :roll:

Considering that in "Arrow" Ollie's mom is still alive and he has a sibling this is NOT comics accurate. :lol:

I consider "Arrow" to be just another earth :P An earth where Speedy is his sister....

Just because the show is based on Clark Kent doesnt mean the other portrayals should be so off-key. Smallville managed perfect representations of The Legion, the JSA, Aquaman, and Booster Gold, it's GA that they radicly altered for a teeny bop audience.
