Note to self. Never watch Plague Dogs then.;)
I think Watership Down was one of the most traumatizing films I ever saw as a kid. All those poor bunny rabbits. I'm still afraid to watch it again to this day. Was this movie even supposed to be aimed at kids? The books seems like it was written for teens or adults. How true is the book to the film for those of you that like it? |
TV shows
Bleach Dr. Who Rurouni Kenshin 2K3 TMNT Highlander Ninja Warrior Nash Bridges Farscape Star Trek Voyager Croc Hunter Scrubs Movies: ones I never get tired of watching over and over again TMNT Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles the Movie LotR trilogy The Seven Samurai Dreams All of Akira Kurosawa's other films The Black Stallion The Hunted Spirited Away Willow Twister too many others to list... |

I saw Watership Down in middle school. Can't remember much of it though. |
So sorry about your dog. My cat had to be put to sleep a few years ago.

Time Mistress, just got back from Youtube. They have the whole Watership Down and The Plague Dogs films up, including clips of the most disturbing moments. I nearly cussed my throat out during the disturbing clip of the Plague Dogs and there's this montage of the bloody and violent parts of Watership Down accompanied by a Marilyn Manson song (very disturbing and bloody even when it's mute). Can you believe Watership Down was rated PG back then (this was near the '80s).

Well, I just couldn't decide what I would be my top ten in live action, because I have many favorite live action movies, old and recent, that it was rather difficuit, but thanks for the comment. To be honest, I acutally have like over 70 favorite movies I believe, and the maturity of them are live action, and like seventeen to nineteen among them are animated. You also have quite a good taste in movies and shows yourself.

I haven't been watching too much TV lately, but the two shows I never miss are The Sopranos and CSI: Miami. On the topic of movies I would really have to sit down and put some thought into that...and that is not something I plan to accomplish tonight.

TV Series Cartoon Nina Turtles 2K3 Ninja Turtles '87 Batman: TAS Batman Beyond The Tick Spawn Cowboy Bebop Live Action Millennium Reno 911 Movies Fight Club Aliens The Descent American Psycho Children Of Men Predator Spider-man 2 The Thing Terminator 2 Judgment Day Total Recall Honestly this is only the tip of movies I like. I love tons of more artsy films as well but I figured I wouldn't mention them, like my music few people seem to know about them. |

1. Keep the personalities and the voice quality of the characters I know and love in tact. And when I say voice quality I mean someone who sounds like the original characters, not necessarily the original voice actors, though that would rock whenever possible. Do that and I'll forgive them some weird character designs. 2. Remember that this movie is called The Transformers and not The Humans (who just happen to run into some Transformers). The reason I'm coming to the theater to see giant robots pound the slag out of each other...and Peter Cullen. Did I mention Peter Cullen?;) |

Megatron is supposed to be voiced by Hugo Weaving. What do you think about that? Think he can pull it off? Also, I am having a distinct feeling that the humans will play first to the Transformers. I mean, that we will be looking at this movie from a human's point of view, not a Transformer. Oh, I never was a Transformer fan before. Dont remember the cartoons at all, and never saw the movie of 1986, but because of this movie's thrilling trailer, I may become a fan now!:D And I want a yellow Camaro now! |
Hugo will do fine, but it seems wrong to get Cullen but not Welker.
Just saw the new TV spot so I am pretty hyped at the moment, I'll admit. The CGI is looking awesome in that at least, so as long as it's got a decent story to go along with some good action I'll come away happy I think. As for Camero, I love Bumblebee, he's my fave. Though I personally prefer him as a VW. |

However I am a big fan of Watership Down. (hense my screen name) I loved the animated film, and it does stick very close to the book, but the book is so much better. A book can give so much more insite on characters, than a film can (in most cases) It is one of my favorites and I re-read it every year. Richard Adams has wriitten several novels and I disliked every one of them, except Watership Down. I don't think Watership Down was ever meant to be for kids. It deals with adult themes, in particalur the cold war. (Which the kids of today do not know a lot about) It fell into the kiddie trap, because it used cute little bunnies to tell the tale. Things are not always as they seem. Read the book!!! It is a great story.:) |
