We're actually at the point where this movie is becoming too lame to insult. Those are the sh*ttiest motorcycles I've ever seen.

No wonder you're upset.

Seriously though, you actually think you're going to find somewhere on the internet that is complaint-free? On any subject? It's the internet. It's for complaining and porn. And kittens.

The Stryker 06-19-2015 06:47 PM

I had no idea there were pictures of the bikes.

We seriously need a thread just for pictures and junk.

To argue about it further would go against my original argument.

Yes complaining about complainers is trivial, but so is complaining over motorcycles.

This is supposed to be the thread but so many idiots and haters post offtopic stuff.

IndigoErth 06-19-2015 07:23 PM

Could always also stick stuff in an album and attach the link at the start of the thread. Since the chatter is prob impossible to keep out of an open thread. At least that way those who want to browse pics can do so but find them also open for discussion here, be it positive or critical.

It's not really hating on motorcycles, is it?

Bebop and Rocksteady having motorcycles isn't bad in principal nor other characters having standard vehicles it's that a lot of what we've seen of this movie so far seems to be about over-the-top vehicles flashy vehicles. While it's not like there has never been a car chase in TMNT before it really shouldn't be a big focus of the movie or it's promotion.

Oh and yes the horrible precedent set by the last movie where pretty much everything that fans were wary about based on the set pics and rumors and promotion turned out be dead-on it's only natural to be even more wary.

And we're "hating" on what is in those pics. That's not off topic at all.

That's probably a really good idea. I second the motion, Mister Chairman.

Sharkie! I have a challenge for you. :tcool: As a fellow TMNT fan, please explain and give a reason why I should overlook or embrace the following:

Six foot 500lb mutant ninja turtles.
A Foot Clan with automatic weapons and Humvees.
Draining the Turtles of every ounce of their blood... EVEN IF IT KILLS THEM.
Releasing a toxin from your publicly visible corporate skyscraper.
How'd Splinter learn karate? A discarded martial arts coloring book.
How does Splinter know about the Shredder? Never mind.
Hamato Yoshi who? Moving on.

If you can do it, I'll give you a dozen Technodrome Mangoes.

Traxi, my man, you are WOEFULLY uninformed when it comes to 2016 releases. Let me pass you some intel under the table:

Deadpool
Batman V. Superman
The Free State of Jones
Captain America 3
X-Men Apocalypse
Suicide Squad
Doctor Strange
Gambit
TMNT 2

Those are just off the top of my head. The ones I'm forgetting probably double the list. 2016 is freaking huge compared to this year.

Leo656 06-19-2015 08:02 PM

Someone who I assume is an adult, goes on a tirade about how OTHER adults have adult tastes and standards, and the fact they want a movie that appeals to THEM, since they've actually gotten that before and other franchises get that kinda luck all the time. Then they unabashedly proclaim their love for what's probably the stupidest version ever of this franchise, with the logic that "It's been stupid before, thus it's okay to be stupid now (FYI, "Stupid Is Okay" should NEVER be ANYONE's "default setting" on ANY thing). Then further declares, with no irony, that "it's just for kids, anyways", despite apparently being an adult themselves, which seems kind of odd, because it does make the speaker sound as if they're declaring THEMSELVES to be some kind of man-child by association (Not MY words... I'm not the one who said "This movie is for kids, not you" and "I love this movie" in the same breath, after all), while implying that anyone who thinks a more reasonable, balanced, and overall "Not Sh*tty" approach to the movie should just go take a leap. Following that, they declare that since giant mounds of worthless plastic junk that will one day choke our landfills until the entire planet rots from the inside have been made to advertise this movie, said movie has Worth and Value.

Well, I'm bored. Like better things. Don't expect everyone else to suckle rotten milk from an infected teat just because YOU like the taste of it.
-----------------------

Guys... in all seriousness, if it bothers you THAT much that so many people here don't like the movie franchise... the best thing really IS for you to just go. It's not about "right" or "wrong"... I don't care how many little kids on FB or IMDB or the Nick boards are in love with this movie. You're outvoted HERE. In THIS forum, you're fighting an uphill battle against a group of fans who are older, more cynical, more jaded, dare I say more sophisticated, more thoroughly immersed in the material, and who all-around take it more seriously. You can make whatever you want of that. You may call it "pathetic"... *I* call it "pathetic" to expect a bunch of adults to adapt to the standards of ignorant children, because YOU prefer it goofy.

There are other, more appropriate forums for you. I'm serious. This place holds nothing but frustration for you. The "supporters" even have their own Private Group, invite-only, where they can have nothing BUT love for these atrocious movies, and yet, they STILL have to cry about how "angry" and "mean" everyone else is. Then please. Just Go. You don't want to be here, you're never going to be "The Majority" and frankly, we're all long past sick of this arguing. You have this complex where you imagine everyone is demonizing and attacking you, simply because THEY see what you REFUSE to see about these movies, and you're projecting what you WANT to see into them to the point far past delusion.

It's unhealthy. You want an echo chamber, go find one. This place clearly is not for you. We're better off without each other. I'm serious. No ill will, no malice. Just Go. A LOT of you, just go, if you're that unhappy.

Or, once and for all, shut up, and let the grown-ups have the floor.

And aside from Turtles I have absolutely no feelings on any of those.

Aside from BvS. I have nothing but contempt for that one.

Leo656 06-19-2015 08:25 PM

Oh, boy, another one of those.

Guy, if out of all of those movies TMNT 2 is the only thing you care about... then you need more help than you're gonna get here. Sorry.

You're one'a those guys who goes to the Chinese buffet and only eats the french fries and Jell-o, aren't you?

So... we have FOUR historic cinematic events happening next year, and none of them interest you at all?

1) First cinematic Wonder Woman, plus first cinematic clash of Batman and Superman?
2) First cinematic Harley Quinn?
3) Iron Man versus Captain America + all the other Avengers ever except Thor?
4) X-Men Apocalypse, with a recast Cyclops and Jean Grey? The real First Class movie we all want and deserve?

But no, just TMNT 2? :trolleye:

You've got a bigger deficit of credibility than the United States has a deficit of dollars in its national debt.

CylonsKlingonsDaleksOhMy 06-19-2015 08:58 PM

I just realized, we're all totally gonna get this section of the forum shut down, aren't we?

Dunno, could be a good thing after all is said and done. :tlol:

Leo656 06-19-2015 09:07 PM

Not to mention BvS looks like it's going to be the single most accurate comic book movie ever that's not named "Watchmen", and how that's probably going to be pretty cool.

Like, I don't get it. I like TMNT. I like lots of different versions of TMNT. But I don't feel like I owe it to the franchise - which, I'll remind, is part of a global corporation whose only motive is to shave off bigger and bigger chunks of your paycheck - to like ALL of it. I can't see how anyone can get THAT excited over THIS version of TMNT. All it has is the name, and the name is misdirection. Smoke and mirrors. These aren't TMNT movies, and we all deserve better.

I think TMNT is probably the worst thing on that list, quite honestly. Those other movies all at least have a chance to appeal to SOMEone other than the "We'll Take Anything!" crowd.

Honestly, I preferred Nolan's take on Batman. Affleck still has to convince me. But I'm all in for cinematic debut Wonder Woman!

God is gonna send a flood to wipe us all out any minute now. Which eight of us get to go on the ark?

Leo656, TrickOrTreater, Commentator42, IndigoErth, pennydreadful, Foombamaroom, Galactus, Bry, and crap, that's eight already and I'm not even on the freaking ark.

Let me onboard, I'm an animal! Take me, take me! I have a mate, I swear!

I would normally have more to say, but it looks like everyone summed it up. And honestly I can't be bothered to waste my time on someone who is excited for TMNT2, but has "nothing but contempt" for BvS. You pretty much laid your lack of intelligence on the table with that statement.

Pretty sure Quicksilver won't be there, my friend.

Leo656 06-19-2015 09:23 PM

I got over Nolan's Batman after the second time I saw the third one. That series lasted exactly one movie too many, although the first two were great. I'm ready for something new - and, for ONCE, comics-accurate.

And a Batman costume that looks like Batman, and not some paintballer wearing a motorcycle helmet. Like, HE was good, but he LOOKED terrible. That suit was just the sh*ts.
