I'm sure everybody falls into this trap from time-to-time, though, and don't realize it unless someone points it out.

I just wish that Sonic Team/Sega could take the criticism(s) of Sonic Forces to heart.
I've been REALLY disappointed with them lately.

What do you all think of the Sonic tv shows overall?

My favourites are Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic Satam while I think that Sonic Underground, Sonic X and Sonic Boom are unique and fun in their own right, but I will always prefer the first two shows.

One things for sure, Sonic shows have been miles better than any Mario show could hope to be.

They might be, but it's too late in development to do anything about it when they started? TBH I haven't seen a lot of complaints but then again, like I said I've been kind of not paying attention. Maybe they'll just patch some of the small stuff later.

Or maybe they don't care. This "create your own character" thing is probably going to make them more money than anything Sega's done, ever.

I agree. I'm still gonna play the game and I'll probably even enjoy it, but it's such a damn shame what has become of Sonic in 3D. It's so goddamn weird seeing an interview for Sonic Mania and hearing one of the developers say "Sonic isn't all about speed" yet you look at Forces and that's exactly what they think about him there.

I wish Sonic Team took tips from Sonic Mania. It had the right speed, momentum, level design, platforming, creativity, etc.

How can you not like a game without even playing it? That doesnt even make sense....

Because previous games exist and the same fundamental ideas are being carried over to Forces. Whatever differences exist between Forces and Generations isn't enough to sway someone who didn't enjoy the gameplay and level design to begin with. It's not that hard to judge whether or not you'll enjoy something you've seen and know enough about.

NiGHTS Into Dreams was such a great Saturn game, I'm glad it's getting some modern day representation, even if it's just a little bit.

Wow, I didn't even know this was still being worked on. This is exactly what Sonic Mania should have looked like. I hope Sega takes notice.


My sister had Sonic Advance 2 and I got to spend quite a lot of time with it. I got Advance 3 later for my birthday too. I thought they were both pretty good. Especially the music in some of those stages.

I like that someone other then Sonic is playable again in a modern Sonic game and that remix of the Biolizard boss theme is great, but at the same time I've rarely liked the boost gameplay and this game dosn't seem to do anything to change that.

I played Sonic Mania and boy...I knew I would like it, but I didn't think I would LOVE it. I could go on and on about why that game is so good, how the game honestly made me rethink what I love about video games...but KingK summarizes it better then I ever could:
