Sweet, super stoked for this :D

I don't know what universe that ultra-turtle-y Michelangelo is from, but I want it.

Viacom, get on it.

The sad thing is, knowing how Shibano was, he was coming by the lair for help or something.

And he got busted for it.

CyberCubed 11-06-2017 08:54 PM

I wonder if he could have taught the Ghostbusters the "Cur-lee" maneuver.

I appreciate the reference, but yeah... might have made more sense to use the likeness of that Freddy parody character from "Nightmare in the Lair."

I love when they put in little references like this.
This is shaping up to be a great crossover.

Ho-chan would also make a perfect cameo here if he's shown.

he'll be fine. If the same laws from Ghostbusters work, he will reform within the week or something.

ok, so the first issue was extremely exposition heavy.
though VERY necessary, it wasn't as easy to really enjoy.

but all that set-up from the first issue is REALLY paying off!!
this second issue is PURE GOLD!!!!
the dialog was just BEAUTIFUL!!
so many great moments, and pretty awesome action and scenarios as well.
the speech between Venkman and Mikey explaining the actions of parents was brilliant!
i love how emotional it got. was great to see Venkman's rare seen softer side.

and Winston and Leonardo ending up in the post-apocalyptic dimension was incredible.
on top of the great action sequence when they first showed up, afterwards Leo's moment of reflection and Winston's words of comfort were so moving.

actually all the paired up characters shared dialog was wonderful to read! :D

this was probably one of my most enjoyed IDW Turtle issues in a while. :tgrin:

I liked the 87 sewer lair scene as well as the alternate versions of the Turtles showing up like Nick Mikey and what looks like a 2k3 version of one of the Turtles. Only problem with that is it makes no sense for the Turtles to take on a different look based on the Universe they're in...

That’s no problem, they take different looks in their own dimension all the time. 😉

awesome issue Erik!
love the way you write the characters.
i've also just recently bought a bunch of Ghostbusters volumes on sale.
really enjoying them so far. :D

Well if new rules apply to the Nick/87 crossovers, the turtles now take different appearances when they cross dimensions. But not Mirage?

probably just a minor oversight. nothing to overthink too deeply.

reading the issue again, i really enjoyed Tadd Galusha's art quite a bit!
hope to see more from him in the future! :tgrin:

I meant the IDW turtles look like the version of the Turtle from the universe they are in... to me, this would imply taking over that universes turtle... taking their place, rather than being there as well...

But I did like the two issues so far and look forward to the next one. Miss reading the GB series, just not a fan of the reboot version.
