Super lame. Not fun.

Luke's absence had a ****** explanation but overall he still got to do cool stuff.
No cool stuff. The only "cool" thing he did was the Force projection and the shoulder brush-off, which everyone hated.

What did Leia do in the new trilogy that was at least cool?
I'd argue the Mary Poppins maneuver, if only for the simple reason that we finally got to see Leia use the Force in some meaningful way. Particularly after we were told she never bothered to learn the Force by Abrams in the previous movie because [insert bullsh** reasoning].

I wanted to see Leia use the Force somehow, but not like that. That was the corniest goddamn thing I've ever seen. Almost anything else would've been better.

It's made so much worse by the fact that the movie clearly and strongly wants you to buy the moment as Crazy Awesome.

Clearly a "F*ck it, they're nerds, they don't care" moment.

After seeing the state Theresa May left Britain in yesterday, they are indeed to be feared...because they f*ck everything up:P

I'd do a gif for the crazy ness of autbot, but that would be rude and un professional.

I saw all the replies to mark hamil's tweet. nice to see the 85% of them seemed to be calling him out for the nuttiness.

Besides, Blade Runner is a sequel and Mad Max more of the soft reboot / sequel.
And Planet of the Apes had failed reboot back in 2001.,

Blade Runner was a sequel, not reboot.

Rise of the Planet of the Apes, Batman Begins, Man of Steel, Casino Royale and Spider-Man Homecoming are true reboots.

Elm Street, Robocop and Rob Zombie's Halloween are remakes.

Agreed! But on the latter three... they are reboots AND remakes. They can be both, and they are.

Not really because Robocop and Elm Street are the same basic story as the original movies and aren't completely different stories as they are remakes plain and simple because they are retelling the same story as the originals.

You have to tell a completely very different story in a competely different to be a reboot like Rise of the Planet of the Apes which is creating a new franchise with a competely different origin story, same for Batman Begins as it's not the same story as the 1989 Burton film and same for Dark Knight which is completely different than 1989's Joker vs Batman story.
