Indiana Jones 5 Announced For 2019

http://411mania.com/movies/indiana-j...nced-for-2019/

– Walt Disney Studios announced today that Steven Spielberg and Harrison Ford will reunite for Indiana Jones 5. Indiana Jones 5 is currently scheduled for a July 19th, 2019 release date, and Kathleen Kennedy and Frank Marshall will produce the film. Alan Horn, Chairman of The Walt Disney Studios, had the following to say about the announcement…

“Indiana Jones is one of the greatest heroes in cinematic history, and we can’t wait to bring him back to the screen in 2019. It’s rare to have such a perfect combination of director, producers, actor and role, and we couldn’t be more excited to embark on this adventure with Harrison and Steven.”

The Indian Jones franchise (Raiders of the Lost Ark, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade and Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull) has made $1.98 billion at the worldwide box-office.

That's interesting.

Hasn't this series already nuked the fridge?

TurtleTitan97 03-15-2016 12:04 PM

Just please don't have Shia anywhere near this film.

Amaranthus 03-15-2016 12:06 PM

I hope Kylo Ren stabs Indiana.

Y'know. With current method actor Shia, I'm sure they can elevate the franchise to new heights then just nuking a fridge. There could be some jumping sharks and fried Coke involved.

There is only one appropriate response to that...

"JUST DO IT!"

I wonder when the 5th movie will take place, the last one was in the 50s, you think it's possible they will set it during the 60s?

CyberCubed 03-15-2016 12:21 PM

Will Harrison Ford even be alive by then or healthy enough to act? The guy is going to be 75 by then.

They need to do the story structure similar to Godfather II and then you could essentially reboot the franchise after this one with the actor used for the flashbacks.

They could use the young actor they cast for the Han Solo reboot in an Indiana Jones reboot too. Man no wonder they're doing it, they'll get two for the price of one. A double-whammy, if you will.

They did something like that once, an episode of the Young Indiana Jones Chronicles had Harrison Ford playing Indiana Jones in 1950 Wyoming, and he was telling a story that flash back to his younger days.

It was this episode.

I liked the last one a lot at the time so I'm all for it.

TigerClaw 03-15-2016 02:05 PM

I wonder what the McGuffin in Indy 5 is going to be.

raph27 03-15-2016 03:32 PM

Please don't screw this up please don't screw this up pleeeeease don't screw this up

Excited that it's a sequel and not a reboot. I wonder if the rumors about Chris Pratt being in it will turn out to be true.

I don't know how they expect Harrisson Ford to do stunts in this movie. They'll cause his early death for real if they want him to swing on vines across a spiked pit.

He actually almost died on TFA set. Some heavy door was about to fall on him; he dodged out of the way and his foot was broken. Probably would have crushed him if he hadn't moved quick enough.

They will have stunt doubles doing most of the Indy stunts.

They can do face replacement on stunt doubles, and digitally add Harrison Ford's face on them.
