The Nickelodeon show making a brief comeback as a special.
 

So it was just announced that the show will have one last special before Rise makes it's debut. Appearently the plot will involve the Apocalypse Turtles traveling back in time to prevent the bomb from launching.

Ironically enough though, this probably will happen eventually. Ciro already said he's pitching a movie/special idea to Nick. We'll probably see the 2012 Turtles again eventually.

It would've been funny if someone made an Aprils Fools thread about Nick deciding to release a special of their own turtles meeting hokum hare.

I could see some people (including myself) falling for it.

Why would you bump an April Fools thread to say something completely irrelevant to the subject matter? All you're going to do is give false hope to 2012 fans...

Granted, signs point to this actually being a thing at some point.
