Potentials for Archie Irma?

Do you think Irma in the TMNT Adventures comics would have any potential, if we saw more of her than just the original cartoon episode adaptions? And how would such an Irma be?

I have wondered myself why the three Channel Six News colleagues did not appear after The Incredible Shrinking Turtles adaptation. Oyuki is added later on for April to have someone to share dialogue with at the work place when she and Ninjara come back with the Turtles from their Asian adventures. What could be expanded on while fitting into the Adventures direction and not have it filled by Oyuki? Archie could have found a way. I would have to shift through the issues and see where she could have been added or had character development and post again later.

Irma, like many things from the FW cartoon, is something I think Murphy didn't care for. Krang, Bebop, Rocksteady, the Technodrome etc, were all removed from the title early on. I think the only reason characters like Irma went away far quicker is because, unlike Bebop and Rocksteady, there wasn't any obligation to promote a toy.

Now what murphy would have done with her, I don't know. What I know is that he seemed more interested in his own ideas, rather than what someone else cooked up, and it might have been for the best. If he had used Irma more, it would have been because someone told him to.

She appeared in one of the episode adaptions but the guy coloring gave her blonde hair I remember.

I think she still had dark hair but it was a very plain and simple hairstyle and she wore ordinary glasses. It was weird cause they drew Burne and Vernon decent enough, Irma was the one that basically got a not-Irma stand in. I guess this was one of those times where Irma finally got the shaft.

I think Irma's purpose, if anything else, is to either serve as that one character April must keep all this craziness hidden from to maintain her normal life, or someone that will be the 'down to Earth freaking out about all this weirdness' character that reminds April that all the weird stuff she's getting involved in is in fact, pretty damn weird. I mean despite her initial reaction to meeting the Turtles and Splinter, she pretty much adjusted really well to all the weirdness that followed.

Fred Wolf Irma slowly befriended the turtles as a creeping subplot of season 2, and became an iconic character of the series. Maybe Archie Irma should have the role Fred Wolf Irma probably was originally intended for.

Women fight with handbags was in a much earlier episode. Season 3 I think.

I also wonder if she would be the same dating-crazy character as her cartoon counterpart.

She was in what, one or two panels? So I guess there wasn't much potential since she wasn't used any further.

The episode I'm referencing is Combat Land where Irma turned into Rambo. Just a thought. :)
