Not really any different than continuing to complain about others having opinions you don't like, so I guess we're even.

Shark_Blade 11-30-2021 02:32 AM

I guess this movie is extinct huh. :(

To some of the comments in this thread (you know who you are), thanks for the :lol::lol:

LMAO I remember thinking this movie was going to come out early 2021 and even then it was already super late, and it doesn't look like it'll be released in "early" 2022, maybe summer at best? If it releases in 2022 wow, the show would've been in its fifth season had it not been cancelled.
At this rate the new theatrical CG animated movie is going to come out in theaters before this one, hell I'm sure viacom doesn't want this movie to detract from the new one, if it doesn't get dumped sometime in 2022 we might not see this movie for a while since I doubt they'd release it in 2023.

The movie is going to get trashed by influencers (regardless if it's good or bad) and no one is going to watch it so they might just be afraid of dumping it and getting bad PR and that's why they keep delaying it to not hurt the brand. At this point the movie has likely been finished for more than 2 years. I personally find it entertaining to follow. I'm sure we'll get the real events of what happened with the movie after it's released and some time passes from the staff, right now they're still trying to save face.

Every time this thread gets bumped with a new post I assume there's news about the moving coming out...and then it's just nothing

IndigoErth 12-15-2021 05:46 PM

Bumping to confuse Cubed again.

Actually I just wanted to mention that, while it might not mean anything, the first 4 TMNT movies are hitting Netflix Jan 1st. Buuuut the first films were also put on tv prior to those last films hitting theaters, so...who knows, maybe there is something to it.

Leofan26 12-16-2021 02:32 AM

Well, so much for that December air date prediction. Will this thing ever air? Who knows, I've seen films that have been nearly finished but than get scraped at the last second which would suck because I really wanted to see how this version of Leo would lead.

matteso586 12-19-2021 07:38 PM

Say that the movie becomes a reality. About the character Haley Joel Osment is voicing. Which one of his voice roles do you think he'll sound like? Sora? Vanitas? Or Garbage?

Zulithe 12-19-2021 10:44 PM

To everyone so certain this would release in 2021… I’ll pour one out for you tonight.

According to that article it's being delayed because it "Has yet to be completed", :tlol: It was supposed to come out 2 years ago, if it isn't complete did they keep only 1 person working on the movie after the cartoon was cancelled? is that what's keeping him from finishing his work? At least the end credits won't take long:

Producer / Director / Script Writer / Animator / Coach / VA:

Josh The intern

lol Probably. You figure, toy sales were not great and the series got axed post-movie announcement so any profits to help fund it (and provoke Nick's interest in even doing so) are gone.

Unless I'm wrong and this is fully on Netflix's dime, Nick wanting to give money to this now is probably like begrudgingly buying a birthday present for the crappy stepchild they can't stand just to seem fair. :trazz:

Now it's just up to Josh the intern having time on the weekends to finish it up...

The film was "slated" for a 2021 release...then an announcement in August that it was being pushed back to 2022. So hardly "2 years ago"...

Still, I don't hold up much hope of ever seeing this now. Best we can hope for is straight to DVD (in an era where DVD is being phased out in favour of streaming...). To be honest I'll take a USB stick if that's what it takes to see this damn thing!

Vicky82 01-13-2022 02:51 AM

It must be really close to be released, as this comes up on Netflix.

Powder 01-13-2022 12:25 PM

Sorry, but that placeholder has been there for like, at LEAST a year.

IndigoErth 01-13-2022 12:54 PM

I'm surprised after so long they haven't at least put an image on it.

Sumac 01-13-2022 03:29 PM

Something Rises...but it is not Rise of TMNT movie.
