Kevin's dad from the Home Alone movies, also had an acclaimed guest spot on The Sopranos:(

He has a most extensive filmograohy than I would have thought knowning for him only Home Alone. It made him a,name nonetheless.

The article said he had minor back surgery and was recuperating in a hotel. It makes a person wonder what went wrong in surgery to cause his passing.

I've seen him in other things, but yeah I too mostly know him because of Home Alone.

Bet there's gonna be a lot of tweets from fans and fellow costars, especially from the Home Alone cast. Seen John Heard in tons of things, Cat People, Deceived, every version of Law & Order, CSi, O, Runner Runner, etc... Sure had a lot of talent and he will be missed, enjoy heaven John Heard.

Some people have too much time on their hands to think up stuff like this. I would have appreciated for the film to tell us how many siblings Kevin had and how his parents did for a job to have the money,but I suspect the answer is, "it is a movie for your enjoyment and does not always have to make sense".

I only knew him from Home Alone, but I did enjoy that film and thought he did a good job as the father. He will definitely be missed.

There's a family photo with Kevin and his family in the first film, iirc. All the kids, minus the two with the glasses, are Kevin's siblings. The other two are Frank's kids.
