Um, it's on the list.

Updated my post based on Bobby's new information on Hero Comics 2012.

I've put it last in the "between #6 and #7" adventures purely because it comes out after the others, but I've asked Bobby if he can clarify over on the IDW boards in case this is wrong.

ToTheNines 04-05-2012 02:58 PM

I'm waiting til I read it first. Never know what minute detail we might catch.

Chris 04-05-2012 03:08 PM

Probably for the best. Bobby's just said straight after #6 but it really doesn't matter. I'm gonna move it there for now and if we want to move it again after reading it then we can.

So far my best guess is the guys, especially Don, wanted to clear their heads and get some air after speaking with Splinter. Rooftop race (which ther first page and title seem to imply) would be a fun way to do that.

Finally picking up #8 tomorrow!

ToTheNines 04-05-2012 03:14 PM

Right now I'm liking it before #5. It looks like they're out and about with out their weapons, which wouldn't be a good idea after the Alopex incident in the Raph micro.

Updated the timeline with the current arc "Shadows of the Past" and the correct placement for Splinter.

Updated with Fugitoid and Sins of the Fathers

Just getting started with the series and it's awesome! Bringing back some great memories of my childhood and making new ones!

Looking forward to getting into this series. Gonna buy some TPBs soon. Hope it isn't like the GI Joe IDW series (let's introduce a favorite character from your childhood, and 2 panels later - he's dead).

8/21/12: read the first 3 graphic novels last week on my birthday. Wasnt feeling he first change is constant volume, but really enjoyed the micro series 1 volume, and volume 2 of the main line. Looking forward to the future graphic novels.

Updated with the new placement for April's micro series.

I'm debating where to put the Fugitoid issue...

It's mostly a flashback issue, and when it catches up to "present day" it seems to run into the whole Shadows of the Past arc, but the plot points from it won't really pick up until #17. Any thoughts?

I honestly debate with myself whether or not the Infestation issues should actually canon to the series.
It's never referenced, not even when Donatello lists the different events that have gone on in the series, and I personally think, almost being devoured by an Occult God would be a really big deal. And I doubt it ever will be referenced again.
Plus, the story line just reads much more smoothly without those two issues between issues 6 and 7... =/

I really like the Infestation issues, but I agree. They don't fit well with the rest of the series at the moment. I don't know if they will ever tie back in. I hope they do. Tristian did an amazing job with those issues, and I'd love to see him come back.

Don't forget Splinter has brown fur in that issue, unlike the gray fur Splinter.

To be honest that issue felt like part of the 4kids universe to me. Especially with Raph hitting Mikey on the head like he did in that show.

I just like to tell myself that IDW gave us a Mirage canon two parter with that one. It just embodied Tales Of The TMNT. :)

What about the colored bandanas? ;)

Powder 09-07-2012 07:55 PM

Chalk it up to an error. There were a few Mirage features that accidentally had colors, after all.

Accidentally? Name a canon instance of Playmates dictated masks.

:D

The only time I can think of is in the Turtle Soup specials the one with Chet, the turtles have colored bandanas even if its Mirage canon.

That's a good short. I agree with Doc Spengler's assesment.
