Brian Micheal Bendis Takes Over All Superman Titles
https://www.newsarama.com/38427-bend...-of-steel.html
The franchise will undergo a relaunch in summer 2018, begining with a new six issue weekly "Man of Steel" mini-series, followed by AC#1001 in May and a renumbered Superman#1 in July |
That's pretty scary.

It was 80 years ago in 2018.

So it seems DC are axing Supersons and Supergirl because of the big Bendis push. Tomasi has indicated on Twitter that there are still plans for Jon, Bendis will also be writing him, and Kara will have a bigger role in the Superman books under him too

No idea where this interview is from, but some interesting details have emerged from it -The new villain is not responsible for Krypton's destruction, he wants to avenge the fallen planet. He has seen multiple realities where it is destroyed and he has come to the realization Krypton is only destroyed to enable Kal-El to fulfill his destiny on Earth. -Clark is rattled by the idea that his life could very well be under the control of pre-destination, and the weight of millions of lives perishing just so he can continuously be granted a guardian role will play heavily on his mind and relationships -Lois and Clark will come to a mature, but painful decision, they will not severe their bond, as their family life was real, and they have a son to raise, but it's indicated they will seperate until they work out to best define themselves outside of what destiny has laid out for them -A writer currently working for Image has something in mind for Lois |

Right after/during Rebirth? Yeesh. Glad I waited to see if DC was serious with "Rebirth." They aren't. |
Turns out that Bendis interview was a fake...though the stuff about a new status quo is likely to happen

Details on the first two issues of the Bendis era

So I read the DC Nation one-shot, which has another Bendis penned story, and the status quo is taking shape. Lois is AWOL, Perry is pissed off, Clark is'nt talking about it, and we meet a new reporter character (black) called Robinson Goode. According to interviews with Bendis, she'll be Clark's new rival.
From tweets shared by Bendis, it's also apparent that Lois and Jon are transported off-world by Clark's father Jor-El, possibly to evade the wrath of the new adversary Rogul Zarr. It looks like Bendis is trying to revive the classic Superman/Clark Kent dynamic with the new character but will eventually bring Lois and Jon back once the time comes to catch up to Doomsday Clock. |

This isn't changing Johnny Storm to a black guy or Wally West to a black guy. Brand new character. Why is this a problem for you? |

It's not really a problem, just a pattern I'm noticing. |

Zarr is an anti-imperialist, he's salty Krypton expanded and depleted other worlds of resources |
Whatever Bendis has planned for Jon, it seems it won't prevent Supersons from being relaunched sooner than expected

Well, three issues in and I'm mixed.
Bendis' talk about not knocking over the apple cart appears to have been hot air, as he went and had his new all powerful super villain Rogul Zarr trash the fortress of solitude and destroy the bottle city of Kandor. He's also said in interviews he wants the Kents to have an unorthodox and less traditional family relationship, which has set off alarm bells with some fans, oh and there's been some atrocious levels of Bendis speak in two of the issues so far, especially with Jon. |
Did Bendis really have Barry Allen utter the words "cacka poo poo"?:o
