Melted Popsicle Vinyl Set NYCC
 

As the title says, I'm in the market for the melted popsicle vinyl set, which I think was exclusive to NYCC. I got Raph from the SDCC Nick Box, but the other three turtles were available at NYCC.

There's currently a set on eBay for $160, which is about $40 more than I'm willing to pay.

If you're selling, please send me a PM and perhaps we can work something out.

I was thinking about picking it up, but then I ended up getting them all from the other seller who sold them individually for $39.99 a piece when I messaged her. Low feedback number, but she's a really nice seller. I think I may have got her last spare Donnie, they are due to arrive to me on Tuesday and she said she double boxed them too. She has a another Donnie and a Leo still currently up for auction. It's worth asking her if she has any more extras though. She may do a private listing for you as she did for me.

I didn't post it because I didn't have her expressed permission to, but she's the only other user on ebay selling them for a reasonable price. (the NYCC ones) She actually just told me she has another entire set available so I messaged the person who created the thread just to let them know. Hopefully it works out for them.

Interestingly, I don't see Raph for sale.

Raph was NickBox exclusive from SDCC iirc. But the other three are CultureFly exclusives from NYCC. So you will still most likely be paying over $15 for Raph to complete the set. But it’s pretty darn cool you can get Leo, Don and Mikey for $50 after shipping. Or just one for $15 is pretty cool! :tsmile:

Yeah, see I'd love to buy these, but I want to purchase the whole set from the site. Even if Raph was $50 online Id get the four at once.

Fortunately I had already picked Raph up at the end of the summer.

For anyone who is thinking about buying these: I ordered 4 of them and they were shipped in a large box without any padding. So, they rattled around a bunch and the packages on three of them broke open. The plastic bubble came unglued from the cardboard, and the cardboard itself was open on all sides.

I placed several orders two weeks ago and they never even shipped.

Your the fourth person that this has happened to that I know about. Seems standard packing methods for this company. Any mint in box collectors thinking about ordering? Don’t! Just save your money.

I’m fine though because I was wanting to open these anyways. But it was shocking when the oversized box arrived with contents rattling around. Even more shocking after opening it. I thought someone had jacked some of the things at first and then sealed the box over again. But nothing was missing. Seriously looked like a wild animal had gotten into the box.

Very poor practice by this company. Most likely will never order again.

I email and sent photos. They said sorry and supposedly forwarded photos to shipping department. CultureFly is a pathetic company.

The first two I ordered arrived in a small box and were packed fine but it was almost as if CultureFly ordered so many from the factory in China that they weren't bothering to even glue the boxes together properly. The boxes to both of them were falling apart really bad.

It has been two weeks since I placed my second order. They just printed the shipping labels yesterday. I found the owner's phone number online. I am happy to share it but it just goes to voicemail and apparently nobody is going to take any responsibility for this. I would suggest you guys write to the suits at Nick and suggest that they not license any more product rights out to this company. They don't deserve to have them.

This is all quite disappointing to hear. I e-mailed with photos but haven't heard back. If I do, I'll share their response here.

Great i just ordered all 3 from their site then i read this

So before they were released like this I bought a set off ebay. (two actually) Decent shape, not mint, but decent. I cherry picked the best boxes for myself and then sold the extras.

I saw this and thought to myself, sweet, I can order a set and actually get good boxes... Yea right. I put the order in almost a month ago, just received them and the boxes are ALL trashed. The plastic window was completely ripped off of two of them and the cardboard came unglued on them as well so they were just popsicles flopping around in cardboard and plastic bits. SO yea... if you want mint boxes don't waste your time.

I double sided taped the boxes back together and threw them on ebay. Should have just left well enough alone, but at least I don't feel so salty over spending so much on them initially now.
