There's actually an easy solution to that. :P

Just put them in these: [link]

Then put them back in the van. That's what I plan on doing.

To me it makes no big deal. Keeping it MISP

Is there any word if this is coming out in Europe?

gobo 09-06-2012 03:51 PM

On the one hand, this is obviously intended for us hardcore fans. On the other hand, it's extraordinarily impractical for me since I already bought ever OT DVD (Season 7 twice even), and it's all but verified to be the same low-quality crap us Americans got the first time around.

Pretty sure I'll stick with the German remastered sets. If I really need a Turtle Van on my DVD shelf to show how big a fan I am, I'll make one.

Shark_Blade 09-06-2012 09:03 PM

I'm definitely getting this. :D

Just pre ordered it on amazon. Hope the price goes down on there a bit though.

It has! I highly recommend it at this price especially if you don't have any of the DVDs, as they tend to sell for more than that on eBay.

UPDATE: I just saw an ad banner on this page stating the $69.99 deal! They're really pushing this to sell!

Already purchased each volume/season as they came out. Can't really see purchasing the entire series again for the novelty of the van display.

The Amazon Pre-Order price today is $69.99. I'm not sure if that's what it always has been, but since it's $30 less than I was expecting I pulled the trigger on the preorder. My 3 year old and I will have a blast watching these. :D He already loves my DVDs of the 2k3 series which is probably a little ahead of his age.

Ads change to reflect the thread you are viewing and this thread is about a very specific item. Not a big deal.

They have most of the VHS degeneration corrected, like the rampant tracking issues and the A/V echo.

Read more about it here.

Hey, does your "Planet of the Turtleoids" have tracking issues during the Groundchuck fight.

I'm not at home to turn it on, but it's roughly mid-way, when the force field around Shellrila goes down and Groundchuck and Dirtbag start causing hell.

Oh, man, I think Volume 4 may have been the worst offender in that regard. In some of those episodes, you can see some serious tracking lines at the top of the screen for a few seconds.

dragonside 09-07-2012 07:34 PM

man.... i have 3 copies of the TMNT 2007 movie. DVD, HD-DVD, and Blu Ray.

and i was planning on buying an extra set of the FW series ... this just perfect. and yet. i feel a little empty inside.

I did buy season 7 twice, and got it once as a gift. (season 7 x 3)

but you know what, i'm still buying it. because all the mini turtles from the season 7 sets... can fit in the van. that's right. that's why i'm buying it. so they can be in the van.
