New Mega Blocks Release Announced

http://news.toyark.com/2015/10/05/me...nounced-177458

They actually look pretty good. Looks like we have something else to look forward to in the new Year

"Back at Toy Fair 2015, Mega Bloks revealed that they had acquired a license to produce Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles construction sets and figures. Nothing much has been revealed since. Now today, Mega Bloks has tweeted out the first photo of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Meg Bloks Figures. The release date has been confirmed as January 1st, 2016! The pic shows the four Turtles as Mega Bloks mini figures. "

They seem to be a big step up from their 2003 offerings.

I guess the missing paint apps are because they are prototypes?

Not a fan of the general Mega Blok's minifig design, but the Turtles looks decent enough.

Donatello's chest?

sluggedup226 10-06-2015 08:36 AM

Definitely better than I expected!

I was honestly hoping it'd be like the old Mega Bloks, so that any new minifigs would be compatible with my original collection... :tconfuse:

I was wondering when they would announce more. I wonder if they will make some of the same stuff as Lego (sewer, shellraiser, stealth bike) or do some new stuff first. I would like to see the Turtle Mech and Party Wagon. Maybe a better Shredder lair with figures we never got like Tigerclaw, Bebop and Rocksteady.

These look nice, hope Mega Bloks will also make some movie sets.

For now I am not interested.

Zarana-X 10-06-2015 02:33 PM

They look good. Not Great, but good.
I'll keep an eye on them and decide later.

Splinter 10-08-2015 09:16 AM

It looks like they'll be doing both Classic Toon and Nick Toon stuff....

Loving the look of the Classic stuff especially. Yay for Bebop and Rocksteady!

Okay, I'm gonna NEED the Bebop, Rocksteady, and Tiger Claw minifigs. :teek:

Starscream 10-08-2015 09:44 AM

Too bad the only ones with elbows are the original cartoon turtles.

Candy Kappa 10-08-2015 10:16 AM

The FW Minifigs actually looks pretty good.

Zarana-X 10-08-2015 10:28 AM

Um, I think I might need to get the classic line:tgrin:

Yeah, the Nick Turtles don't look that great to me... the masks look funky or something.

Powder 10-08-2015 02:24 PM

The Nick turtles here look really awkward & blocky, I don't like them at all, but the "Classic" ones, whoa! Totally buying those if they're priced right.

The Tiger Claw looks amazing, though... not sure why they couldn't do better Turtles.

Ugh. Maybe it's just me, but these look really bad. Wish Lego still had the license.
