Well since Asgard is kaput...time for the adventures of the Greek gods!

Well, Marvel Studios can seemingly do no wrong. So bring it on, I guess. :trazz:

I wish she was still hot, and not a goddamn bird-armed mummy.

So I'm guessing she's Sersi.
Wasn't the rumour that character would be the lead a while ago. |

So...that Eternals movie...

This forum sucks. |
The Rock is up for an MCU part, POSSIBLY in this movie.
https://www.joyscribe.com/dwayne-joh...CySHVfzFTuKyWY Maybe it's something else, though. Surfer? |

Seems a'ight to me though. |
Well to me Silver Surfer shouldn't have much of a recognizable face, let alone talk like The Rock so he is a terrible choice.
Who are the eternals? Are those the New Gods of the Marvel Universe? If so then damn, Jack Kirby kept working on the same storyline no matter what company he worked for, he'd just change the names  |

Maybe give him a different voice? |

Wasn't it Lawrence Fishburne who did Silver Surfer in that terrible Fantastic Four sequel? He had a good voice for it. Weird belly-button TV screen though. |
Very curious as to what type of tone this film aims to capture.
I suppose I’m expecting something a bit more serious than Guardians, and maybe something a bit more “heady”. If that’s the case, I’ll definitely be excited. My hope is that they are going obscure in order to break away from a few of the MCU/Disney chains in terms of fluff and fun. Could be totally wrong, but that’s my optimistic side. If it’s just another high quality cosmic MCU film, introducing likeable characters - not that there’s anything wrong with that - I probably won’t be all that interested. As much credit as the MCU gets for diversifying it's films when it comes to genre and/or tone, I don't really buy it. Don't get me wrong, I consider the MCU, as a whole, to be an amazing gift to a fan like myself. It's the type of movie universe I dreamt of as a child. It's totally awesome. I'd still like to see more diversity in terms of tone and genre though, similar to what Fox did with the X-Men franchise, except, ya know, without all the screw ups. |
I think the fox deal happened too late to have Silver Surfer in the Eternals, maybe a small cameo or hints at the heralds. I don't think the Silver Surfer has had great appearances in media outside comics though with the exception of the 90s SS cartoon.
To think that Fox could've had an Cosmic Marvel movie universe had they gone on with the Silver Surfer spin-off and the other cosmic X-Men characters. I guess it's best that they didn't since it likely would've been much inferior to the MCU one. |
I suspect "The Eternals" will be kind of like what they originally intended the "The Inhumans" to be when it was still set to be a movie.
Sort of a... 1 part X-Men, 2 parts Guardians of the Galaxy, with Jack Kirby visual stuff kind of thing. Is what I'd expect. |
