Marvel's Iron Fist

Marvel has named Scott Buck as the showrunner for the upcoming Netflix series. Here is the official synopsis:

All four heroes will then unite in the mini-series event “Marvel’s The Defenders.”

Cool . I loved DareDevil. I'm excited for the defenders too. Doesn't greg cipes voice him on the spiderman show?

Hell yeah. For being a non comic reader, I actually went out and read a ton of Iron Fist to study up before this show comes out. This is gonna be amazing!

Oooh, awesome! I wonder if they will eventually turn Iron Fist and Luke Cage into a Heroes For Hire mini or movie? Throw in White Tiger and we could have a great team. I'm thinking Black Cat for a fourth. Or possibly Colleen Wing or Misty Knight.

I'm glad the rumors of this show getting cancelled were untrue but I hate the choice of showrunner. Buck's work on Dexter as showrunner was really bad.

Yeah, same here. He's done some fairly decent work as a writer (as well as some fairly less-than-decent work), but he had the reins on that show when it went flying completely off the rails into sheer idiocy.

Fingers crossed, because I want Iron Fist to be great, but Buck in charge doesn't fill me with confidence.

You didn't know Howard was a Marvel character? it was long before the movie. And seeing him at the end of Guardians was awesome as he could be a nice addition to the Marvel universe on film and TV.

Even Blade needs a TV Ma Netflix or Hulu show.

Well now I'm all curious who they've got in the basement.

Also...I would totally be in support of Zdarsky's "Howard" working his way into the MCU. Those books are a damn delight.

Indeed! I'd love to see a (semi) serious show for him. Wonder how the MCU would handle him with Civil War? Would they deny him registration like they did in the comics?
