It's finally official. Netflix has ordered a Punisher series after months of rumors.

Am I reading too much into this line at the bottom of the press release? Sounds like they are planning more series outside of the already announced Defenders.

Plus a 2nd season of JJ was ordered, right?

Yeah that's probably all it is. I'm just holding out hope for an Elektra spin-off. Oh well, excited we're getting this spin-off. Bernthal killed it in this role.

I'm curious how this is going to work, given how his story arc went on Daredevil. That said, this might be the only time I have ever given a crap about the Punisher

This is good news so long as they start doing 3 of these a year. They almost have to at this point.

Ditto, don't other Netflix originals have Blu-ray releases?
Daredevil would probably sell well on home media. Or maybe Netflix is trying to push the idea that "streaming is the way of the future!"

Orange is the New Black and House of Cards get home video releases about a year after each season starts streaming. I'm sure other Netflix originals do, too.

It's been over a year since Daredevil Season 1; still no hint of a DVD release.

As excited as I am for this, it's probably the least exciting Marvel Netflix news for me. I'm much more interested in Luke Cage, Iron Fist, Jessica Jones Season 2, and The Defenders. Hope Punisher comes AFTER all that (but before Daredevil Season 3). :tlol:

I haven't watched any of their comic book series', but this one I will definitely give a chance, assuming they do it right.

Powder, you simply MUST check out Punisher in Daredevil. He's fantastic!

Just give me a wrap up in Daredevil season 3. That is all I want out of all this Marvel stuff. It would be nice if multiple projects can be done simultaneously. I feel like it would be a year and a half before we MIGHT get a third season if we ever actually do with the current trend.

I hope they adapt the issue where the Punisher becomes a substitute teacher for a day. That was the sh!t.
