Boy, that's outta left field, huh? Cool, though. I'm not a Splatoon fan so I'm not excited about this specifically, but it sets a pretty interesting precedent in a general sense. Nintendo being open to the TMNT crossing over in any capacity whatsoever with their original stuff is really neat.

I wish the Splatfest gear was forever and not only for the event, I'd rock out my Leo shirt all year.


What's so fun about the splatfests is the creativity of the community over something as dumb as hotdogs vs hamburgers. It'll be great to have it be about a franchise I love and see all the fun memes that come out of it.

I haven't been able to register for it yet. Has anyone else been able to?

I'll be #teamLeo for the first round #teamdonnie for the second and let's see who makes it to the final round but if Donnie makes it I'm choosing him. I'm definitely never choosing Hulk Raph even if Raph has always been my fav.

I think you're underestimating Leo's popularity. He's winning by 24 votes or so?

When I saw the title, I thought they meant TMNT was going to be added in game. Kinda misleading lol.

I don't know how. I worded the title that way specifically so nobody would think they'd be straight up added as playable characters or whatever.

So far based on my findings at inkopolis there's definitely some shade being thrown at the Rise of TMNT designs but it's a very small minority, there's more people just mentioning they don't like TMNT in general, and many messages just having fun even if they might not be fans of TMNT. I do see mostly Leonardo t-shirts too so I think most are choosing him.

Hope they are choosing him for the character rather than "I like the color blue" lmao.

Isn't Leo's character changing for this new show, though? But I picked him based on the Leo I've know for the past 30 years.

Raph is my fav. but his Hulk design sucks so I chose Leo whose design I actually like.

Most people are not fans and are choosing on character design or color.

Raphael is usually the most popular turtle, they really messed his chances in Rise with such a design.

Raph looks kind of cool in animation, but those shots don't really look so good.

One of the splatoon characters said he was 6ft, and I dear hope to God that isn't true. Gives me even more PD vibes.
I miss 1990's Raph.

Hmm I don't think it's the design, I think mainly because of nick's depiction. I found his character there to be uselessly bad. Leo is the most popular nowadays. He was the only one to have a character arc in the nick show, so it was easier for people to cling on the him as their favorite.
