I also had to split the shows between live action and animated. Too hard to choose otherwise. So 3 lists:

MOVIES:
TMNT (I'm going to cheat and count all 4 as 1)
Star Wars Original Trilogy (CHEATING)
Boondock Saints
Pulp Fiction
Office Space
Spaceballs (Damnit, I'd add more Mel Brooks if I had room)
Cheech & Chong's Up In Smoke
Sin City
Willow
The Dark Crystal

LIVE ACTION TV:
Carnivale
Sopranos
Deadwood
The Sarah Silverman Program
Mr. Show (You can see that I enjoy the HBO, hehe)
Star Trek: Original, TNG, and to some extent, DS9
Scrubs
Modern Marvels
The Drew Carey Show
Saul of the Mole Men

ANIMATED TV:
TMNT (Again, cheating and counting all as 1, even FF!
Futurama
The Simpsons
X-Men Adventures
COPS
Masters of the Universe
The Tick
Garfield & Friends
Sealab 2021
Drinky Crow (Only 1 episode so far... but I have faith!)

Who doesn't? Nobody who matters! Can you believe my g/f has still never seen it, and I've had it on DVD now for like 6 months? She just won't sit down and watch it.

Revan 05-21-2007 10:55 AM

Dark Cyrstal, eh? Is that in there for nostalgia or do you really think it's a good film?

Courk 05-24-2007 07:42 PM

I'll give my lists, then y'all get to guess my age. ;-)

Ecto Jedi 05-24-2007 09:44 PM

Wait, is this a trick question? Are you, in reality, undead?

Courk 05-25-2007 12:24 AM

But then wouldn't Shaun of the Dead be my favorite movie? ;-)

A little bit of both actually. I think it's a really well executed piece of kid-friendly fantasy. I'm a sucker for well-made puppets and detailed scenery too, and you can't argue that they did an amazing job on both.

RaphaelsOnlyGirl 06-15-2007 02:01 PM

Mr. Snackpants 07-29-2007 06:43 PM

My first movie list was rushed...had a lot of new movies. The movie application on Facebook is really cool and helped straighten my thoughts.

Top 10 Movies

1. Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy
This is a "homer" at #1 because I looove Will Ferrell. It was a sad day when he left SNL and I have barely watched since. Sure, he plays pretty much every character the same and that may get old for some people, but not for me. This is the best Will Ferrell movie hands down. It's so damn quotable and rediculous...and that's why I love it. Now I just gotta get my hands on the movie made out of extra footage.
2. Pulp Fiction
I love Tarantino. This is just classic. So many memorable/quotable moments. Never gets old.
3. Grindhouse
Again, Tarantino. I've only seen this once but I know it will be one of my favorites of all-time. This was the best experience at the movie theatre I have ever had. I feel sorry for those who missed out on this movie in theatres. Two full length movie and a handful of hilarious trailers.
4. The Big Lebowski
A cult classic. No one I know except my uncle has ever seen it. The plot is so outrageous...everything stems from someone pissing on the dudes rug...wtf? Haha.
5. Saving Private Ryan
Such a great war movie. Tom Hanks is great. Great action. Great story. What else is there to say.

My top ten movies.

10.Sin City - Combining super-stylish effects, a noir setting, and more violence than a concentration camp being visited by Hitler on one of his off days, Sin City has a certain draw to it that won't let you take your eyes off of it even if you wanted to cover them from all the gore on the screen.

9. Half-Baked - I first saw this movie when I was younger, and didn't really appreciate it back then. Being older, now I get it. Who doesn't love a group of potheads tryin' to bail their friend outta jail by selling weed? A very funny movie.

8. Pulp Fiction - Some would argue to say that this is Tarantino's best piece of work. Filled with great acting, directing, and pacing, this movie is full of dark humor and irony, and only gets better as it goes along.

7. Incredibles - This is hands down the best love child out of the complicated and twisting relationship between uber-sweet Ms. Disney and edgy and innovative Mr. Pixar. The youngest of his 6 brothers and sisters, Incredibles came out the movie womb destined for greatness. With great action scenes and a great sense of humor, Incredibles is my favorite out of the family, but I still love the rest as well.

6. American History X - On a darker note, this movie is great brain stimulation and makes you think of how the world really is. A great movie with great acting. Definitely one of Edward Norton's best.

5. Training Day - Another movie set in L.A., this movie got Denzel an oscar for best actor, and rightfully so (I don't care what anyone says, he STILL woulda beat Russel Crowe if he wasn't surrounded in controversy). He has to of played one of the most memorable and cool antagonists ever.

4. Crash - Chock full of interesting characters, this movie tells the story of how multiple lives come CRASHing (haha) together through the course of 36 hours or so. Very cool story telling and interesting to see how all their lives intertwine.

3. Emperor's New Groove - Possibly THE most UNDERRATED movie of ALL TIME. Clever and hilarious writing. Outstanding voice-over work. It's such a shame this movie didn't get the praise it deserved.

2. Face-Off - Fast paced action and well thought out character development are the perks to this John Woo Film. Not your typical action gun flick, this movie takes the time to make sure we care and feel for the characters. Excellent movie.

1. Spider-Man 2 - Jesus Christ, this movie is good. Filled to the rim with complex canon relationships and emotion and intense action sequences, this movie tells the on-going drama and story of the most tragic and poetic super-hero, Spider-Man. This is just movie greatness.
