Pretty sure we all saw this coming, but it was still great
|
" oh, a fellow chucker, hey".:D This is like an unfair fight from TMNT (1987) like with the Crooked Ninja Turtles Gang.
|
It's <sniff> beautiful! :tlol:

Here's a preview link to the IDW page
"Can we just have one day without weirdness?" This issue is going to provide some much-needed levity. I can feel it. |
"Guys, whatever you do... please don't hurt anyone."
:tlol: :tlol: :tlol: :tlol: :tlol: :tlol: :tlol: :tlol: :tlol: :tlol: I'm dying... |
Oh my god, I just noticed Don getting whacked on his shell with the push broom  .
It's even more pitiful since he's been hit with worse. |

Looks like Raph is a fellow 'chucker now too!
|
I think this is the first time we've actually seen someone throw up in this series? Michelangelo has come close at least once.

MY LETTER IS IN THIS ISSUE :D !
Spoiler:

We finally get to the Rat King's grand machinations, and I'm more interested in what's going down between Bishop and Stockman. :tgrin:
|
I don't think RK has any grand machinations per se, he just... does things. Like a certain other infamously chaotic character from recent memory. But the Bishop/Stockman team-up is definitely winning out in terms of interest here. And I can't wait to see if Splinter's orders to Jennika will be carried out on-panel. There's been very little Italian Mafia presence in this series, I'd like to see more of Lupo and his ilk. Oh, and... Jennika/Casey ship fo'sho! :D
|
Okay issue, a lot of exposition but seeing how this was the "setup" issue I can understand why.

Well, who else could it be :P ?

This was a great issue filled with a lot of humor at the beginning with the Toad Baron and his frogs. Toad Baron continues to prove to be one of the best new characters IDW came up with, and easily the most entertaining Patheon member. Although to be fair half of the others haven't gotten much screentime yet.
So Bishop/Baxter working together and this all leads back to Burnow Island again, something Bishop was monitoring around 20 issues ago. Now with both the Utroms and Triceratons there, if Bishop attacks he's going to be in for even more of a war than he expected. And with Ch'rell around too...this is enough for a whole 5+ issue event itself. The side stuff with the gangs isn't very interesting, as it feels like a filler subplot, but I guess it keeps Splinter busy. Overall though it feels like all the plots of the last 3 years are coming to a head, Leatherhead and Old Hob will likely be involved with the Patheon War stuff too coming up. Now if only they'd cover Null working with possibly Maligna in Universe just so we remember she exists. |
