At this time, no.
In a similar fashion to the large scale Dino's , we didn't get Leo till the range was completed - even then he was somewhat limited. So... I'd like to think a Don will be offered later . |
Sorry Playmates, while I do like the micro turtles playsets when I was a kid, I just don't think these will sell in present day. Not a lot of kids play with toys these days and these micro playsets haven't been around for a while.
While I do like the nostalgia factor of things and will probably pick up a few for display, it seems like these will be attract adult collectors than kids. |

To be honest, I was ready to pass on the micro sets.
Normally I've accepted the offer of figures before I've completed reading the emails. These, I did not reply about for some time, really only getting them for novelty factor, but I'm not impressed by them. The safari HSH figures look good. HSH is a range I'm glad I didn't pass on. In MANY ways, these lil guys surpass their bigger brothers. |
Nunchuckin' New Year for HSH; thanks for the pics, DVD!
COWABUNGA!
I too LOVE HSH!! May I please ask for additional photos of your new HSH Sewer Safari merch? (It would be a real bonus to see close-ups of the bottom centre of the back; to see the other duos in more detail). Plus, are there any indications that 'Sewer Safari' may indeed be a sequel to 'Blast to the Past'- for example, on the front of the packaging, is there any 'As seen in the Nickelodeon TV Special' info? Repeat thanks for the Turtley Awesome info!! :D |
Here's the safari elephant.
http://i857.photobucket.com/albums/a...182DE84C44.jpg This recent stuff is arriving at my office over the next day or two . I'm on holiday just now , but I'll get detailed pics as requested when I get a chance to get into my office . |
Half-Shellebrational!
Repeat thanks, DVD - I'm extremely grateful!!

I loved those mini/micro sets from back in the day, glad to see they are being brought back!
|
Just found one HSH Leo and crocodile set. So they are rolling out.
|
Micro mutants? Nice!! Sucks the paint apps aren't like the old school sets. I just found the micro toon Mikey at my Dad's not long ago from when my brother and I were little. It's well painted and detailed for such a small figure. I might not be able to resist these if the price is right. Wonder what they will run?
|
Safari Turtles?
Got my fingers crossed for a new "Farmer Mike" revamp in 2017! :tlol: |
I'm excited for the micro mutants sets, omitted paint apps was inevitable (Mondo got the shortest end of the stick, where are his paaaaaaaaaaants?), just hope they're a good price. I like extra tiny scale because they make great toys for my toys lol... The turtle playsets are a bit silly looking, but the interiors look alright.
I got a Micro Mutants Mikey + Bebop + Party Wagon, Mikey can fit inside a transformers titan master which I think is neat. I should try and post some pics. |
Cool.
If you like the micro sets- these will grab you. These I do like. http://i857.photobucket.com/albums/a...187A6E8F31.jpg http://i857.photobucket.com/albums/a...FC6EC3D5EA.jpg http://i857.photobucket.com/albums/a...4956422D69.jpg These are just like mini versions of the Leo playset. To be honest, I just keep that set up as a giant action figure!! I did, once open it up. It takes a huge amount of room. |

I hope those turtle figure/playsets aren't too expensive, they remind me of the big Leonardo we got last year, but proportions look better. I'm totally excited.
|
What do you think of the Mikey party wagon?
I thought it was better than expected. I'll have to do some pics later today . |

I kind of like the face idea . Similar to the dart guns released earlier. Those could have been boring otherwise. The characterized vehicles make these a bit more desirable on my shelves.

Hope there's Mikey and Donnie figure playsets next. |
I hope so too.
I've been expecting to hear more details all day. If I hear anything, I'll post it here of course. |
These Pet Turtle sets are slightly bigger than I expected.
http://i857.photobucket.com/albums/a...3FEB24BB1E.jpg The lil figures are actually pretty neat, and didn't disappoint . I've always been impressed with the mechanical detailing behind these micro sets, and the Transformers style of toys. And, as requested- a (hopefully ) more detailed close up of the Safari range of HSH http://i857.photobucket.com/albums/a...3341DA4BAE.jpg |
Which pet turtle set do you reccomend getting first, DVD?
|
OK. Strartex to set these lil, not so lil guys up.
They are making for quite a nice display. Glad I chose to get these http://i857.photobucket.com/albums/a...1A13376E23.jpg http://i857.photobucket.com/albums/a...A7A776745D.jpg The tiny figures aren't too bad - tried to do a close up ... http://i857.photobucket.com/albums/a...BBA3FAC188.jpg First one? I would always go for Mikey, but that's personal preference. If I was only getting one, I'd get Leo. Here's Leo : well if you can see him. I found a few different Leo's in different scales - http://i857.photobucket.com/albums/a...D1468F3173.jpg The larger and the tiniest!!! http://i857.photobucket.com/albums/a...D40E33B9A4.jpg And here's Leo, in the hands of, Leo - http://i857.photobucket.com/albums/a...A5590A4D82.jpg |
Too bad the belts and wraps aren't painted, but they still look decent. It's nice to have new tmnt stuff to look forward to. This year figure wise, the playmates line was pretty eh for me.
|
I realized today, that I was having fun with these sets.
I still look forward to getting more if the 'basic' figures. These though, are a different line for me and something of a novelty. I don't know if I will get (if more are actually released ) sets beyond the pet turtles, 9 inch turtles and the 4 vehicles. |
Even with the lack of paint,I still want the main core of characters in the micro line. I guess Playmates have lowered my standards

Would love to get a Leo set for scale to display with the giant Leo playset. Wish it didnt came with Cockroach terminator tho.
Me and Raph share the same phobia. |
You're in luck.
The free standing Leo set set comes with a micro Shredder. |

I'm almost tempted to buy a brown paint marker to try and paint the belts though. |
Here's a quick comparison between the 'giant' Leo playset and the 'micro' Leo playset .
http://i857.photobucket.com/albums/a...CAD319F469.jpg Later, I will open up the micro Leo set and place it beside the pet Turtle version. These guys tho, are larger, and have more features than the Pet versions. |
Wish they weren't lazy and molded his correct belt, but he definitely looks better than the old big Leo.
|
Here he is opened up.
He's a lot of fun. http://i857.photobucket.com/albums/a...2C121121C7.jpg The weapons rack: good idea , but the swords and sais are a tad loose. If you breath on the rack, they fall off. The figures are ok, but as always, not as inclusive of the paint apps. Detail is good tho, for such tiny dudes. http://i857.photobucket.com/albums/a...84F86DA7EB.jpg The leaflets have the range complete at the 4 vehicles, 4 pet turtles and 2 mutant turtles - so I think that'll be it for this range. |
Any way to get pictures of the Upc for these or even the dpci for the small sets?
|
I've set up a display unit for these.
Here's the three Leo sets. http://i857.photobucket.com/albums/a...AFD16DAE47.jpg Numbers: Vehicle set- item #87601 Mutant set - item #87841 Pet set - item #87711 Hope these help. |
The weapon rack is really cool with the Leo Playset. A nifty way of giving your Micro Turtles better looking weapons then the yellow and tan weapons in the smaller packs, and extras are always nice.
|
There's a rack on the giant Leo set as well .
Here's the Raph sets: http://i857.photobucket.com/albums/a...851D3D48C7.jpg And my final display (still need the Mikey and Don vehicles) http://i857.photobucket.com/albums/a...4FA2945810.jpg I guess that's me done playing , I mean setting things up, today. |
How much do those transforming play sets go for?
