SHIELD tv series

Oooh! Joss Whedon's doing a S.H.I.E.L.D tv series!! I hope Agent Coulson is in it!

Quote:

Whedon will write the pilot alongside his brother, Jed Whedon, and Maurissa Tancharoen (who previously worked with Whedon on "Dollhouse" and "Doctor Horrible's Sing-Along Blog". All three will also join Jeffrey Bell and Jeph Loeb as executive producers.

Uh.....he's dead, yo.

Not really excited to see Whedon reunite with people that helped with Dollhouse of all shows.

You never know. This show could take place before his death.

Anyway, this news doesn't really excite me...

I'm very excited for this. Joss Whedon is one of the few persons in Hollywood I have complete trust in.

Also, Jed and Mo did some uncredited work on The Avengers-script. And they co-wrote Dr. Horrible. If Joss trusts them with this, then so do I, until proven wrong :)

LeoNerdo 08-29-2012 02:55 PM

I'm really interested in this. I hope it's good.

JakeSully 09-05-2012 08:26 AM

Sounds intriguing

Raph's Girl 10-02-2012 10:37 AM

Ok some new info on the show has come to light. First off it's actually being done by Jed Whedon (Joss' brother) and his wife Maurissa Tancharoen. They co-wrote Avengers and are also singer/song writers (they wrote the songs for Doctor Horrible...and have a couple albums out). Maurissa was even a writer on Spartacus. Joss is still somewhat involved with the Shield series as he's like a consultant or something.

Anyways here's a rundown on some of the characters we'll be seeing:

Quote:

Agent Grant Ward: A gruff, anti-social manly man in his early 30s who's great at his job but not so great at getting along with his coworkers. Ward has a strong moral foundation and isn't without his charm.

Skye: A quintessential Whedon woman, Skye is described as "bubbly and goofy" but "also warm, edgy and witty." She's in her late 20s and can more than hold her own in any situation.

Agent Althea Rice (a.k.a. The Cavalry): A strong, silent type, still damaged by harrowing combat duty, Rice is in her late 30s and is both an ace pilot and a weapons expert.

Agent Leo Fitz and Agent Jemma Simmons: A twosome so connected to each other they're known as "Fitz-Simmons." They're in their late 20s but already highly respected agents. Nerdy yet attractive, they bicker like brother and sister. His specialty is weapons, gadgets and cutting edge technology. Hers is life sciences (both human and alien).

That's neat, I guess.

Heckster 10-18-2012 10:25 AM

I wonder how they bring Coulson back.

chrisdude 10-20-2012 09:36 PM

I think they'll just say he didn't die. There was some kind of controversy about how the home video release in the UK (I think it was the UK) was edited so it didn't look like he died...

I guess I have to watch every episode of this show, because it's in the universe. I watched all the movie series (except The Incredible Hulk. I'm sorry, I can't force myself to care), but never cared enough for the movies to buy them.

Then freaking Avengers came out and was probably the best superhero movie since Superman II, and I'll probably end up buying the whole series.

Yay! Agents of SHIELD got picked up for full series order by ABC! We'll find out the time and day of the week it'll air next week during the major network upfronts. Supposadly we'll be seeing the first promo/trailer for it THIS Sunday during Once Upon A Time.

I hope that is true! I don't watch that show so I appreciate your mention of it

Raph's Girl 05-10-2013 10:43 PM

So according to an Agents of Shield website the series will be airing Sunday nights at 8pm.

Not sure if this is what'll be shown tonight during Once Upon A Time but here's the first of what'll probably be many trailers for Agents of SHIELD. Wonder who that super hero is?? (some are speculating that it's Luke Cage. Which would be totally awesome)

Raph's Girl 05-12-2013 07:17 PM

And here it is. The full trailer:

Looks cool! :tgrin:

Candy Kappa 05-13-2013 12:48 AM

I love the looks of the trailer and that the Marvel movie universe lives through TV series as well. It can really open up for heroes that might not be blockbuster worthy and give lengthy stories that a 2 hour movie can't

ZariusTwo 05-13-2013 06:51 AM

This looks very good. Could be a real game-changer, there's not a lot of shows like this in the market

TheCanadiandrome 05-13-2013 09:35 PM

Can't wait to watch
