I'll admit, that I'm really hoping Cartoonistaaron volunteers. If I remember, he kinda started the whole Fan Remix movement with some of his early art homages to TMNT#1. And since he ended up doing the cover to that issue, it'd be great if we could bring him back to continue (or start?) that tradition.

The 3rd print was the Rich Corben cover, with the boob-tastic April, right?? As long as you guys don't need it like, tomorrow, I'd be glad to whip something up. But only if I can do a work-in-progress thread since those always look so cool to me.

Should I do my WIP here or should I do a separate thread? I don't want to clog up the thread with images of the same thing over and over but I don't want to start a stray thread either.

Anyway here's the cover rough. Probably going to do this 9x12 for speed's sake, then scan it in bump up the size and throw some color on it in Photoshop.

Oboy, CA, this is gonna be somethin' special! I feel kinda proud of myself for daring to make the recommendation.

I think this page might look best as the final page of the comic, kinda like a bonus surprise to the reader.

Although, I have to admit, I'd also be tempted to make it the preview image too!

Work in progress continues. April's legs on the original cover are in kind of a weird pose, so I'm changing them around a little. Sorry for the crappy image - it's an iPhone picture. My scanner is a pain to connect so this is the best you get right now!

Wow, that's coming along nicely! I was just thinking about the cover layout the other day, and I thought it might give you artistic challenges for that reason you mentioned. I think the pose change is probably a good idea.

I take it you've decided to go with more "Fred Wolf" style than Mirage this time around, eh?
