Well if the rumor is true they use a Chinese warehouse to get "bootlegs" to anyone is true, I'd say it's fair game to snag a legit bootleg of neca occasionally as well.

I doubt that rumor is true, though.

I swooped up a Leo from Amazon and cancelled yet another order with Entertainment Earth. I feel bad because their customer service has truly been excellent, but Leo is my fave and patience was not an option, haha. :tlol:

NECA always puts new stuff on their eBay/Amazon first then they ship to retailers like a week later. You pay more but you get them earlier then everyone else.

Just canceled my EE order as well and got it on Amazon.com, dont like paying more for shipping but who knows how long i will have to wait to get it. i dont think I preordered it on EE the day it was released, it may have been a week later.

Sounds like a pretty convenient rumour for people who are just out for themselves, and don't really want to support a company that is already very focussed on listening to collectors, and bringing us what they can if it is at all viable.

I see buying bootlegs, when there is legitimate product available at a totally reasonable cost, as denying NECA the opportunity to bring us equally cool stuff in the future. To speak nothing of the slap in the face.

Randy Falk is quite open about his disdain for bootleggers.

Though to be fair, these "boot-legged" 1:4 scale are yet to materialse.
