i never got the Oprah magic. I guess gail would magically become vice president.
|
We should support her.
She interviewed the Turtles after all:P |
And YOU get a Presidency etc...I wonder if Dr. Phil would be her VP?
|
First Trump, then Oprah.
How about David Letterman after that? Or maybe Pamela Anderson? |
I'd be interested in her platform.

Who's Jerry Louis?
What's their platform look like? |
I just want to hear the presidential debates. But not more than Dwayne Johnson's.
|
I think its more likely that trump will be serving a 2nd term.

In all seriousness, I am highly concerned about the future of American politics.
The media of entertainment and politics will become more intertwined, making it difficult to separate the partisan issues from the bipartisan issues. It will also be harder to unmask the flaws of each and every political party, as the general public would/will be more interested in the celebrities/famous/affluent rather than their policies/promises and their subsequent executions. People will get further distracted from their more important goals, and American society will probably destabilize. In short, I fear for all. |

This last election cycle wasn't the first time the American Voting population, or rather the percentage that managed to show up, voted for someone who was more flash than bang.
And it won't be the last. Name recognition is how dudes voted for US Grant, back in the day. I don't think there's anything about the entertainment industry that should keep someone who works in it from holding public office. Winfrey is the head of a self-made media corporation. Johnson a charismatic business man. They could potentially be good at politics. Quote:
