The next series live action or not will need to be serious like the already released movies and the IDW, 2003 or 2012 series.The failure of Rise proved that funnny kiddy show is not popular.

Exactly. Alsot with how much more expensive live action series are to make compared to cartoons i dont think that Nickelodeon will want to spent so much money for it. It will continue be cartoon only.

If season 2 doesn't have a good finale that can be used as a series finale I hope the movie gives it one.

The Teen Titans movie came out after the show ended and it wasn't a great series finale, in fact it left a bad taste in everyone's mouth since it was just a a lame story with a new villain. This movie was made before they knew the show would be cancelled, so it's not like they would've gone all out on it.

I assume this movie will be about Leo and how he handles his leadership and a very salty Raph.

The only predictions for this movie I can think of. 1) Nearly every named character the Turtles have met making an appearance. 2) A heartfelt reunion between Draxum and the gargoyles. 3) A version of Krang being the main villain. The Utrom that gave Saki the armor could be related to Krang. 4) A flashback revealing how April met the Turtles and Splinter. 5) The return of Mayhem. 6) April's parents meeting Splinter and the Turtles. As the former wanted.

I hope so, just conclude everything in this film if you know the shows ending at this point. They've shown they can do emotional scenes really good so I hope we get some to dive into all the characters. Leo and Raph are the ones I want to see, Leo didn't want to be the leader in the first place so.

Really surprised this wasn't canceled but I guess it was too far into production when they decided to end the show so they might as well finish this up. It's also nice for fans of the series to have one more big sendoff to it.

Nick/Viacom got a deal with Netflix, so they have to continue it.

Well nice to see something in regard to it I guess.

In some way I want this to be that one Rise thing that is (imo) actually decent. On the other hand if it is, that will prob annoy me because then it will be "look what it could have been all along."

Could have....but you know if there were more of this show, it would remain the same.:tlol: Aside the fact that Nick is contracted to do this film, I guess they sort of owe those who enjoyed this show a movie since they decided to shorten the last season without letting them know there's a change of plans. Now I don't blame Nick for cancelling it since it wasn't making a profit for them and I'm sure some would still be upset at them regardless but if I was a fan, I'd like a heads up. CN at least told fans of Ed, Edd, n Eddy that the said season six would be replaced with a movie, which I felt was a solid ending.

I'm glad that the franchise continues to be produce, despite my lack of interest in this particular incarnation. It's kind of like what Bat-mite said at the end of Brave and the Bold. To paraphrase, we get different flavors of TMNT as time goes on. Perhaps something a bit darker will be made in the future.

I mean, we'll probably never get comic book dark. It is a franchise primarily aimed at children. Still, it's nice to have the guys around regardless.

Those probably aren't a good choice of words in particular. More so the optics of how the brand is being handled. But I also don't have much interest in continuing what I've watched which I'd like to think I've seen far enough.

If we could be so lucky.

Though I don't trust this show. Every time I tried to guess how some ep plot was going to turn out, I was too optimistic and proven wrong and left thinking, "Wait...that was it? That's all it was?" every single time.

This might kill any future netflix tmnt stuff but i'm still glad Rise is getting some sort of send off.
