The timeline on these has been pretty ridiculous.

Candy Kappa 07-08-2017 04:42 PM

it's been a really long waiting time, but it was Fwoosh's first rodeo so hopefully the kinks been worked out when they'll do series 2.

Finally have a tracking number.

Gonna watch it like a hawk so it won't be sent in return thanks to crappy postal system like my Mythic Legion figures did.

Me too. Let's hope we won't have any problems with breakage and stiff joints...

Candy Kappa 07-28-2017 06:54 AM

Yeah... the Fwoosh thread about AI makes things look a little grim.

Exactly...and also the Facebook group! But it seems that a little bit of heat can fix most of the problems with the joints

Lil Karai 07-28-2017 09:52 AM

I see a lot of happy customers in the Fwoosh thread since these things started to ship. Yes some issues here and there.

Raptor86 08-03-2017 12:52 PM

Finally, they are here!!! I have my foot clan now

Had to heat the hips and add a drop of silicon shock oil, and everthing went fine.

Lil Karai 08-03-2017 03:01 PM

Those look GREAT! Nice work on Shredder!

Raptor86 08-03-2017 03:48 PM

Thank you! The next step would be Karai...but I am finding it difficult to come up with a clever (and cheap!) recipe using Marvel Legends...

Discogod 08-03-2017 11:41 PM

How about the new Elektra figure as a base?

I thought about that... but she is too big.

Probably the Marvel Legends teenage girl body would work, with the black series Leia' arms.

Candy Kappa 08-04-2017 05:27 AM

Depends on what kind of Karai you want, Netflix Elektra is a pretty nice base, there's also Silk and for a teen Karai there's black-suit Spider-Girl. Or the Latest MCU Widow figure.

Non ML, the Figma movie Motoko Kusanagi looks fitting for a Karai.

Ok this would be my theoretical recipe for an IDW Karai (so quite short compared to Shredder or the foot Ninjas).

Head: if they do the 6" version of the Rose Tico character in Star wars (for the 4" version https://nextshark.com/wp-content/upl.../rosetico2.jpg)
Body: a black teenage ML girl mold, like spider girl or jubilee
Arms: black series 6" Princess Leia for the double jointed elbows and gripping hand
Accessories: Articulated icons scarf, bow and arrows, katana.

Of course she will need some sculpting and painting work for her upper body costume.

Candy Kappa 08-04-2017 01:56 PM

Alright. So my shipment did not get on the sorting, so I'll get it on Monday since the post office do not deliver mail on Saturdays and sundays. But my Partner got hers, she bought the Smokey Ninja, and a Black Deluxe with extra arms as my birthday gift... for 2 years ago lol.

And the Deluxe Ninja is fantastic, love the accessories and I don't have any major problems with the articulation. The masked heads are a bit snug on the peg but it'll widen out with use, and the legs are a bit stiff in the crotch joints. The demon mask was a bit mushed in the bag, but it's made out of rubber, so no problems when it's on a head.

I was a bit worried that the swords where off-scale, but it's not too bad, the katana is a bit on the long side but it's in the ballpark.

Candy Kappa 08-08-2017 07:04 AM

There! I finally have my Ninjas, 3 Basic Black Ninja, 1 Shinobi and 1 Solitaire plus the 1 Black Deluxe Ninja I got as a present.

Besides that they all got kicky legs they're great, some minor paint issues on Solitaire's googles and one of his swords was put wrong inside the scabbard so it's a bit warped, but besides that no other issues.

The import charges was really steep, almost $100...

Candy Kappa 09-01-2017 05:32 AM

There's a sale coming up September 1st at noon CST until Monday, September 4th. I don't know a CST is but, whatevs.

http://thefwoosh.com/index.php/2017/...he-store-sale/

I'd love some red ninjas and a evil sensei, so I'll keep tabs on the store.

Powder 09-01-2017 12:42 PM

For the quality, these are overpriced.

Yes, definitely... I mean they are nice figure, but not worth $40!

Powder 09-01-2017 03:36 PM

$20 would be fair for the basic ones, maybe $30 for anything more grand. Even that's pushing it, though. They're pretty much just Marvel Legends, but their asking prices are in upper range JP collectible territory. If I'm gonna pay Figma prices, I want Figma quality. :tlol:
