I beat you to it, CyberCubed! BOHOHOHOH

As we all know, 2007 was 10 years ago. So what were you doing back then?

2007... I was 16 and in 11th grade. And then would get into 12th grade later in the year. This was a quite uneventful year for me, personally and the year where my "being a teenager sucks" phase was at its height.

I was still a very passionate wrestling fan and would watch WWE religiously even though Supercena's run pissed me off and then the Benoit thing made it awkward and uncomfortable to watch WWE for a while.

I took an interest into retrogaming at the time mostly thanks to Angry Video Game Nerd's videos. Hell I think he was still Angry Nintendo Nerd at the time . Anyway, I was playing games I hadn't played in years and games I had never had the opportunity to try out before like every NES Mega Man game which wasn't MM2. Although I had never beaten MM2 until I've gotten MM's Anniversary Collection for my 17th birthday.

I was also playing the Wii a bit, with my family having gotten it for Christmas 2007 and Bully(known as Canis Canem Edit in Europe). Bully was a fun game back when I was a teenager but it's clearly the least good major Rockstar title, I feel.

As for other mediums... I was getting quite into anime. Remember when you could watch tons of anime on youtube without fearing it would get pulled off it the next day? I swear I saw several anime from the 90s and the past decade on youtube.

Wasn't really into music at the time although I did listen to Bodies from Drowning Pool on a daily basis back then, thinking it was the most badass song ever

TV... was watching House at the time. That show was a blast to watch back then. And I was also watching Balls of Steel and Kenny vs. Spenny. LMAO remember those shows?

What about you? What were you doing 10 years ago?

2007 was originally going to be my year off as I had finished Secondary school in '06 Being a Russ* and all that graduation jazz.

So I was hanging at my at-the-time-fiance's Secondary School drawing my comic book in the library, and doing art stuff. But I got a bit bored of it, and ended up enrolling into Noroff a private university and started my 3D Modeling & Animation education.

Funnily enough my Junior Instructor at my sword school Tenshin Shoden Katori Shinto Ryu was also attending the same year, so that was really cool. And I met my now living partner there as well.

2007 was'nt the best of years for me. There had to be an extension built for my house and the constant delays and heavy duty work whenever it got going drove 'round the bend...then Marvel published One More Day. I hit the skids shortly after and also dropped out of college

I was watching lots of porn and impatiently awaiting the TMNT movie.

Ten years later, I'm watching lots of porn and impatiently awaiting the TMNT season finale. Huh.

I guess this March marks me being here for 10 years!

Porn was the first thing you thought of? Seriously? I mean I started to watch porn around that time as well but didn't even think it was worth mentioning that.

In about 2 weeks it will mark me being here for 8 years.

2007 was a very good year for Brazzers.

You even keep track of those things? Do you buy porn DVDs and BluRays and subscribe to pornsites?

Candy Kappa 02-06-2017 07:18 AM

A man that pays for his porn, is a man you can trust.

I've downsized my collection, but yeah.

ProactiveMan 02-06-2017 08:24 AM

That went downhill fast.

I moved into the first place I ever rented by myself in 2007. I'd been working in a new job for six months and I had enough cash to do it. I was sick of living with other people at that stage, and I thought I'd try living on my own for a while.

What if they pay for it in bitcoins on deep web?

Storm Eagle 02-06-2017 09:28 AM

I got a Wii, and later on got The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess and Metroid Prime 3: Corruption.

I managed to total a perfectly good car in an accident, but I was able to use some of the money I got for it to fly out to Colorado to see my friend the following year.

The long-awaited Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows came out, I got my copy, and finished it in four days.

Really? I thought no one did that anymore?

Wow how much money did you spend on it? I can't believe someone would actually pay to use Brazzers. The only people I thought who had accounts there were people who found cracked passwords online or something.

I remember 2007 most of all for finally buying the Wii after it was sold out like crazy in the last two months of 2006. People have forgotten what a huge fad the Wii was...it was sold out nearly everywhere for its first year.

2007 was a great year for Nintendo in general:

- Zelda: Twilight Princess had just come out
- Metroid Prime 3
- Super Mario Galaxy
- Pokemon Diamond and Pearl

Hot damn, you'll never see the 4 big Nintendo franchises get releases that close together again.

I was in seventh grade. I was back in Texas after living a year in California - 2006 was awful for me. I made my deviantART Feburary 25. I'll need to make a "10 years" deviation. And, I had started watching The Animals of Farthing Wood and my snake obsession was still in full swing. I wouldn't get my ball python for another year after that.

Jephael 02-06-2017 12:54 PM

2006 was actually a pretty intense year for me, so when 2007 rolled around I did my best to chill out. It wasn't easy though as I never really had any time to myself. I was living in this halfway house type apartment for people with health issues. The landlady was a crazy Jesus freak who forbid anything sex related like porn or even having a female companion come visit. The only reason my family chose that place was because we were dirt broke, though knowing what I know now I would've left after just that first year.

27 and job hunting. Would start a part time evening retail job in the end of March and a full time job at a sadly short lived little embroidery shop in April, cutting the retail back to just weekends.

Wish the embroidery place had made it. Nice couple who had it and was kind of fun. And so easy to find yourself standing there watching this big embroidery machine do its thing, up to four shirts or whatever simultaneously.

I was only there a few months and they closed a few months later, after only existing for about a year. Even ended up selling their home and moved permanently down state to their beach house. Shame, but at least they were able to recover their finances a bit that way.

Nothing outrageous. As much as any other hobby.

I know tube sites are readily available, but I don't like pirating. Don't care if it's music, movies, porn or comics. If people are selling something you enjoy, they deserve your money.

Icebot 02-06-2017 02:10 PM

My mother passed away in 2007, she had ALS. In fact, my family has been talking about doing something for the 10 year anniversary of her death.

Besides that, 2007 was a good year for me. It was awesome watching TMNT fast forward and the 2007 TMNT movie. In 2006 / 2007, I also started watching Avatar The Last Airbender.

DestronMirage22 02-06-2017 02:29 PM

Oh crap, the WII came out more than 10 years ago?! Damn, I feel old now.
As for what I was doing 10 years ago, not much different than what I'm doing now; online classes, playing video games, buying toys, watching good movies/T.V. shows, eating good food....basically just enjoying life. :)
