Rise of the TMNT comic!
 

Just got the email for Halloween Comicfest, and they abnounced Rise of the TMNT will be one of them. Kinda fitting aince the 2012 TMNT comic series started with Free Comic Book Day.

I'm not sure how I'd feel about the series or getting the comics, but I might grab this one.

Don's head looks weird as hell almost like a square purple box.

He's supposed to be a box Turtle, he looks fine in the official animation. Remember this is an artists interpetation for a comic.

The Nick Turtles didn't look exactly the same in the comics as they did in the show either (not even counting that they were drawn and not CG, I just mean how they were drawn based on the artist)

I thought he was a soft shell turtle?

I am very confused about Leo's pose. By his upper body he looks like he's just standing straight up, but the position of his legs... how is this happening?? :tlol:

It's like a cramp waiting to happen. He's gotta be leaning on Raph so he isn't falling over, kind of kneeing April in the butt, and possibly taking a pink-glowing tonfa to his own derriere.


I didn't know "interpretations" usually were made pretty much identical to what it's based on...

I think it'll be explained in the source material.

It's an artists interpertation, they don't look exactly like that in the official show art we've seen.

I don't really buy it :lol: I don't think a box turtles head is actually square. I could pick on this art so much I mean just look at Leo's legs :lol:

I feel like the artist was in a rush and had to change the Leo pose at the last second. The rest of the poses look good. I love Mikey haha

Don's head is beautiful.


Anyways, I wonder what the comic will be about. (I hope it's Halloween-related.)

Anyways, I'll definitely check out at least this first issue, I'm curious enough. I dunno if I'll stick with the comic or the show though
