Richie Rich and his Girl Friends
So I just ran across this and I find it odd to say the least. Its pretty much Richie Rich, Little Dot, and Little Audrey(Along with Gloria from Richie's own comic series and little Lotta who I never heard of before.)

Dot and Audrey are comic icons, and along with Little Lulu were the big 3 of girl comics. Each had there own comic series, cartoon shorts, toys ete. They were BIG. And in some ways still are big, but at some point 2 of the 3, Dot and Audrey team up with Richie Rich, for a series run, what was the story for this? Yeah it ran for about 20 or so issues, so it didn't last long, but I find it amazing that no one talks about this cross over, its either Marvel vs DC(1990's) or when Archie team up with the Punisher when comic cross overs are talk about. But yeah its amazing seeing my child hood cartoon shows team up like this. its just how the comics were back than, but still I find it amazing that this team up happen.

I bet this was a big deal in its heyday, but I can see why it isn't spoken about today.
So you bring up Archie. You see, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, despite being an Archie property, was originally not in the same universe as Archie himself. It wasn't until the cartoons came around that Sabrina was introduced to the Riverdale gang. This news is a surprise because well, she's always thought of as one of those core characters. Yet. Because we live in the present, it's not a huge surprise, because of course they exist in the same universe, they're from the same publisher!
So applying this logic to Harvey comics, yes, it must've been a shocker back then, but today? I don't think people bring up this crossover because it's a similar situation to Archie and Sabrina. Same publisher, so in present day, years after it happens, it's rather unsurprising and most people just shrug it off. It's like Batman and Superman teaming up. That's normal.
People talk about crossovers often because there are different publishers involved, because that's a shock. When the comics involved all come from the same publisher? It's just another Tuesday with all these extended universes.
