Great news. I hope the new series is traditional animation and not CG.

The best part is seeing that old episodes are available on the Watch Disney app.

Seriously? Awesome! I used to love Ducktales, and I get Disney XD, so when this comes on, I'll definitely try and watch it. When does it premiere?

2017 is when you can watch it.

I just hope they don't cheapen the animation style and make all the characters look flat and jagged like they have in recent years with their animated shows. No Phineas and Ferb styled Ducks please. :D

My hope is that it's not CGI, personally. As long as they give me traditional animation, I'll love it.

Inspector Gadget will be in CG, and I hope this is!

Some things deserve to be rebooted. But DuckTales? I sincerely hope they don't use the original cast - Alan Young hasn't been so young for several decades now (95-years-old!), Chuck McCann (Duckworth) is 80 and June Foray (Magica) is 97! They might have passed on by the time this series is ready to air, forcing Disney to either cancel the series or recast them - and nobody wants that. A lot of the other cast members are also very old or have passed on.

On the plus side, maybe now Disney can finally give us the final DVD volume of the original series. :P

Since DuckTales Remastered was released not that long ago and DuckTales: The Movie was just re-released to the US public on DVD, it seems like Disney has slowly been building up to this announcement.

This could and should be really great. I hope the new series also draws a lost from Barks' stories, and maybe also from Don Rosa's.

This is really cool. I've been wanting to rewatch the original. I can't believe they still don't have a complete DVD release. They should have finished that rather than stream it.

I was thinking of buying the remastered game (disc) for ps3. Never played the NES version.

All I can think of now is that Harry Styles may or may not have just told me that DuckTales isn't sacred. :lol:

This does has the potential to be good, I will admit. I sincerely hope that it won't be CGI animation though. It wouldn't suit DuckTales at all.

I really don't get the hate for CGI... Then again, a lot of people was against the dreaded Talkies. :roll:
