Five Nights at Freddy's
anyone play this game yet? feels like one of the best horror games in forever
|
Haven't seen it yet. From the description, it sounds like somebody had a bad trop at Chuck E. Cheese/Showbiz Pizza as a kid, lol. Sounds like a blast of a game.
|
Never heard of it until today when suddenly 6 different people posted about it on Facebook in the course of an hour. Looks interesting... I'll have to look into playing it myself since I can't stand these Youtube wanks overreacting to every little noise.

Can someone explain to me what the **** this is and why I'm hearing about it everywhere today?

I loved that game, ive played it, and made it to day 5, but can never beat it

Haven't bought the game, but I feel almost obligated to, despite my tentativeness with horror games and jumpscares especially, because the let's plays and fan art and other creations almost merits the $5 alone on the fun it's given me.
It's impressive when you realize it is a single person who made the game. The creepy design, the way the game seems set up to inflict paranonia, designed to panic you into wasting on your power on the doors and camera when you don't need to. But ultimately the whole thing has a subtext of humor to it. Chuck E Cheese style monsters? The fact that the guard keeps coming back, just to get a $4 an hour wage? The very fact that your horrible fate is being stuck in a costume? The glee of watching people freak out when that chicken pops up on your screen? Priceless. My favorite fan art is the work that makes the horrible robot animals cute, like something kids would genuinely love during the day. Spoiler:

After seeing someone on Youtube playing this game last week I wanted to try out the demo. Even though I was terrified I couldn't resist going back each time to give it another try.
Got the full game a few days ago and after building up some courage I was finally able to play this more seriously. Completing one night every day. What I find intriguing about this game is that it creates a feeling of helplessness and paranoia that make this a pretty unique experience. Each time I want to quit I find myself going back again and surviving a night gives a satisfying feeling. Amazing game, especially considering one person has made it. Definitely worth the price if you like a bit of horror. |

This game is truly horrifying, especially since 5 kids were killed there and supposedly stuffed into the suits!

As a kid I went to a few parties at Chuck E Cheese and as much as I loved the animatronic characters (still do) I do have to admit that they were creepy as hell. The fact that the creepiness of those characters was used as a basis for a horror game delights me so much. I've seen some reaction videos to it and it looks like a blast! I'm thinking of buying it for my iPad.

Looks immense, thinking about buying.

Heh, reminds me of that one episode of Regular Show...

I've been wanting to try it, but looks taxing. My computer had trouble just running Slender: The Arrival. Might be time to get a new one :/

I didn't even know of this game until a couple of weeks ago when I watched...
. I love their channel. Anyway, I'm still tempted to try this game out, but I know my PC wouldn't be able to handle it with its screwed up keyboard and I wouldn't want to play it on my mobile phone. That aside, the theory as to the inspiration for the first game is interesting and the thing he paralleled it to from 1993 I actually remember hearing about as a kid, as it spooked me back then. |
