Joker & Harley DCCEU movie announced

http://comicbook.com/dc/2017/07/21/w...joker-spin-of/

So right now, in development that we know of in terms of new Harley movies... there is Suicide Squad 2, a Harley Quinn standalone movie, a Gotham City Sirens movie, and now a Harley & Joker movie.

Good grief.

Autbot_Benz 07-21-2017 02:17 PM

good I want to see more of Leto's Joker since he didn't get a fair shot in Suicide Squad.

CyberCubed 07-21-2017 02:18 PM

I'd be interested if it wasn't Jared Leto's Joker. :ohwell:

The better question is, which will get made? I can see Suicide Squad 2 being made and Gorham City Siren ms might, but would we really see the filming stage of Joker & Harley Quinn or Harley Quinn: The Movie cone to fruition? I doubt it. There might be a consolidation of Joker & Harley Quinn with Harley Quinn : The Movie.

A Mad Love-esque prequel would actually be cool to see in live-action.

Powder 07-21-2017 04:47 PM

I'd see that.

Agreed. It's a shame that both Joker and Lex Luthor have been botched in the DCEU yet they couldn't have gotten a better Batman and Superman. Even Harley was perfectly cast and I don't want her or Batman anywhere near that Joker.

GoldMutant 07-21-2017 05:29 PM

So, is this now the HQEU? (Harley Quinn Extended Universe)

NinjaPug 07-21-2017 05:39 PM

ScreenRant is the original source of this news? I'm taking this with a huge grain of salt.

TheSkeletonMan939 07-21-2017 06:15 PM

Even if this turns out to be false, just look at this.

Ridiculous. No release dates, no nothing, just vague bones they're throwing to the public in order to keep them even just a little bit interested in their surmounting train wreck. They are way too happy to run their mouths, and then they pay for it by being embarrassed down the line when Shazam or The Flash has to be pushed back significantly for the fifth time.

This is as true today as it was ten years ago. It's almost uncanny.

ProphetofGanja 07-21-2017 06:27 PM

DC really does have a problem coming with the huge gap in movie releases after Justice League comes out. Then it's like a whole year til Aquaman, right? And then what??

DestronMirage22 07-21-2017 11:41 PM

It's adorable they think the DCCU will last long enough for this to be made.:roll:

Vegita-San 07-22-2017 08:27 AM

because the original suicide squad was so beloved, everyone is calling for a sequel...including one on this version of the 'joker'. ugh.

Suicide Squad made millions and was very successful.

Just because it made money doesn't mean it was perfect.

CyberCubed 07-22-2017 11:59 AM

People liked it well enough, not counting what critics had to say about it.

This. I mean, come on. I wanna see DC succeed, but the way to do that is to make good movies, not keep promising a myriad of movies you obviously won't be able to make. How many of these damn things have they announced already? They can't seriously think that by giving themselves a whole bunch of projects to work on at the same time that they're going to come close to making a good film, much less succeeding. There's this thing called saturation.

Suicide Squad was a success at the box office, but critically, it was disastrous. Most people I talk to about the movie also tend to hate it. It's just an incompetent flick, and a sizable amount of people think that.

Looks like this was legit. Movie now has writers/directors. Soooooo many movies in development.

How long is the gap between DCCU movie releases going to be once Justice League is released? Over a year until Aquaman? And then probably at least another year until they get buckle down and work on whatever project they decide to focus on of the many they have already pitched and announced, be it Shazam or Wonder Woman 2 or whatever the ****

NinjaPug 08-23-2017 07:31 PM

According to Deadline this is the Gotham City Sirens project announced last year. They just got rid of David Ayer.
