Haven't posted in several years, but with all the news on the new show coming out, I'm definitely back and looking forward to engaging in the numerous conversations that are already and will be taking place.

Like all of you, I'm hoping and praying the new TMNT universe will kick butt - hopefully that will be the case.

I have to admit, I'm a little concerned with the design thus far....while some of the choices Nick is playing with wouldn't necessarily be my #1's, the rest of the details sound pretty good.

I'm glad for the most part. But someone on this thread said "the silly ones are Leo and Mikey". Leo? Really? That got to be a joke. Please tell me I'm mistaken. Also, teen April is meh but acceptable I guess.

The most important thing for me regardless of everything we know so far is for the show to have a solid ninja/martial arts basis. The fundamentals of the fighting scenes are extremely important as far as I'm concerned. On par or even slightly more substantial than the personalities of the turtles.

I wouldn't call Leo "silly," but he seemed more easy-going than he's usually been portrayed.

So...an actual teenager and less like Cyclops? I'm for it!

EDIT: I'm guessing any pictures (if you even could take any) are forboden!

I would like to know who were the voice actors who played the other turtles, who are not confirmed to be the actual voice actors. If that is alright.

Oooh, I'm very intrigued by the idea of Karai being Yoshi's daughter raised by Saki. (Especially if it's made mention that Tang Shen is her mom.)

Especially since that idea very nicely washes the idea of Yoshi's Daughter being "Venus."

Basically the only things we were allowed to have on our person were a pen and these TMNT notecards that they provided. And pictures were definitely included as something we couldn't do per the NDA.

It isn't. They've been instructed to keep that secret still.

Can someone define a bit better what they mean by Leo being more easy-going?? This is honestly the first thing I have heard from any of this that has actually concerned me. I have no problem with Leo acting younger and having a bit more fun (more like he was in the early episodes of the 2K3 show) but he still seems like Leo right??

I'm so glad we can share details!!! :D People have been bursting at the seams to share stuff.. There's nothing new I could really share in regard to the details -I'll probably add to my writeup - but I would think fans of the Archies comics will be VERY HAPPY. :thyper: I love the tall Splinter, and really... the height differences with Don isn't THAT noticeable. Maybe an inch or two at most. He's not a beanpole...

All of this talk about the Krangs (ugh) being robotic foot soldiers sounds to me like the Turtles will be doing battle with alien-piloted Foot-mech suits (as the head) and when one of the guys slice through the suit we'll be treated to a little blob tumbling through the air.

Is this what you guys mean?

Also, did any of you suggest using "Utroms" as the aliens name rather than "Krangs"? This is the one thing that bothers me most, aside from April becoming a seemingly throwaway character.

I agree, "The Krangs" sounds like a terrible name.

I'd rather Krang just lead a bunch of evil Utroms. Please tell them to change that.

The only thing I really have a problem with is April being a teenager. It's just too weird considering she's always been older than the guys. However, if it doesn't change, I'll get used to it.
