Renae Jacobs: April O’Neil
Rob Paulsen: Raphael, Angry Octopus Inc. Worker
Peter Renaday: Splinter, Octopus Inc. Board Meeting Businessman, First Octopus Stadium Businessman, Second Octopus Stadium Businessman
Unknown Voice Actor: Octavious Ogilvy

Mistakes:
1. After the Turtles and Casey discover Shredder, Leonardo speaks with Raphael's voice.
2. As the Turtles and Casey are being attacked in the Octopus Inc. Office of the President, Raphael says "Don't you think there's too much violence in today's workplace?", but his mouth isn't lipping to the dialogue.
3. When Leonardo says "There's only one thing do do, Donatello, let him have it" followed by Donatello holding the water spray was frozen.

Catchphrase/Insult Countdown:
Shredder calls Bebop and Rocksteady "lazy mutants".

Pizza References:
1. Raphael says "that's 11 pizzas you owe me to Michelangelo" when building a stack of soda cans at the start of the episode.
2. On her news report, April reports that a global pizza shortage is expected. Michelangelo wonders how he can survive from that story.
3. The Turtles go to The Russian Pizza Room for dinner, and the waiter mentions the pizza shortage.

Pop Culture References:
None in this episode, with mostly business and workforce terms used.

Fourth Wall Breaking Humor:
At the end of the episode, Raphael says that it may not be a realistic ending, but it is a happy one.

Wacky Inventions:
1. Donatello's wired speakerphone in the Turtle Van that is Turtlecom compatible
2. Octopus Inc's cords that keep employees from walking away
3. Octopus Inc's hypnotic equipment
4. Octavius Ogilvy's hearing aid
5. Octopus Inc's stadium's Grand Arising mechanism

Kidnappings:
1. Many corporate executives are kidnapped by the men in business suits who form Octopus, Inc.
2. After the Turtles and Casey find Shredder, he ties them up and throws them into a broom closet with Mr. Oglivy.

Notables:
1. Even though Pat Fraley and Jennifer Darling's most prominent characters (Krang, Burne Thompson, and Irma) are not present in this episode, they still do some voicing.
2. A shot of the employees entering the Incredibly Large Corporation was recycled after a shot was showing the Turtles laying on a heap in the street.
3. Krang is mentioned by Donatello but does not appear in this episode.

Episode 44: Pizza by the Shred
Written by: Michael Edens & Mark Edens

Voice Cast:
James Avery: Shredder
Cam Clarke: Leonardo, Rocksteady
Townsend Coleman: Michelangelo, Rat King
Pat Fraley: Krang
Barry Gordon: Donatello, Bebop
Renae Jacobs: April O’Neil
Rob Paulsen: Raphael, Weird Pizza to Go spokesman
Peter Renaday: Splinter

Mistake:
At the start of the episode, the Turtles are fixing the Neutrino's red Starcruiser, but when it was last seen in "Teenagers From Dimension X", the Turtles had kept the blue Starcruiser.

Catchphrase/Insult Countdown:
1. When Rocksteady and Bebop are flipping pizza dough, Shredder calls them blisterheads.
2. Shredder calls Krang a fool in disagreement that the Turtles won't each such a weird pizza.
3. Bebop says "Mama!" when he escapes the Turtles and the Rat King with Rocksteady and Shredder.
4. Shredder calls Bebop an idiot when the Starcruiser drives out of control.

Pizza References:
1. This episode is one big pizza reference, with Michelangelo working for Shredder's Wierd Pizza to Go. It begins with a commercial of "Weird Pizza to Go" featuring a pizza with a pickle and three jalapinos forming a face.
2. When we first see the Weird Pizza building, Rocksteady and Bebop are seen flipping pizza dough.
3. Krang then tells Shredder on his comlink about how long it would take for the pizza parlor to deliver the Turtles to him. Shredder responds that the Turtles can't resist a pizza by ordering any ingredients they want.
4. As Michelangelo comes to apply for his pizza delivery job, he says the opportunity is like a slice of pizza.
5. Michelangelo is seen delivering pizzas to a couple apartments, including a pickle and ice cream pizza. He next delivers a whole pizza with a plain cheese topping to Vernon.
6. Donatello says "It's pizza time" right as he turns on his blender only for it to explode. He then discovers the Weird Pizza advertisement in the newspaper.
7. Donatello then orders a peanut butter and avocado pizza with extra pickles from a phone booth.
8. April feels that its weird for her delivering weird pizzas, though Michelangelo asks her that she's doing an undercover report on bogus pepperoni.
9. April thinks she's delivered the Turtles' pizza, but the Rat King calls it junk food and accepts it as crunchy by April.
10. When Michelangelo finds out he has been fired, he discovered that Shredder has been using the pizzas as a way to find and destroy him and the other Turtles.
11. Michelangelo explains to the Turtles that he had been delivering pizzas for extra dough (money), but Raphael responds by saying pizza dough.
12. In the abandoned subway station, the Rat King tells Shredder that he can't have his pizza except for the anchovy.
13. Shredder throws the Rat King's pizza to Leonardo the way people get pied in the face.

Pop Culture References:
1. The fuzzy dice that Michelangelo brings to the Starcruiser is a popular accessory and made popular in the 1950s on car windshields.
2. Michelangelo was checking out the latest surfboards at "Belly Boards 'R Us", a parody of Toys 'R Us, Babies 'R' Us, and Kids 'R' Us.
3. Right as Michelangelo converts the Starcruiser to flying mode, he says "Starcruiser to Houston control, we have liftoff!", which is based on the traditional launch sequence by NASA space vehicles.
4. Phone booths were in decline by the late 1980s, and the truck taking away the phone booth where the Turtles ordered their pizza reflects that trend.
turtle's sewer is his castle
5. When reaching the surface, Bebop says to Shredder and Rocksteady that they "shouldn't have tried to hang thirty", which is a parody of Hang Ten, the surfing maneuver.

Fourth Wall Breaking Humor:
1. When wondering how Michelangelo could get a job, Donatello says "did that make sense to you?"
2. Raphael says "the villain business has been bad lately, but that's ridiculous".
3. When Shredder, Rocksteady, and Bebop leave, the Rat King says "Don't you hate it when people drop in unannounced?"

Wacky Inventions:
1. Donatello's Proton Wrench
2. Donatello's Anti-Matter Spark Plug
3. Shredder's Anchovy homing device
4. Donatello's blender.
5. The Footski

Notables:
1. The Sewer Tubes, still not yet formally called by that name, are used and are discovered to have a net used for capturing various foes.
2. The first time that Shredder encounters the Rat King.
3. When Shredder hits Leonardo in the face by the peanut butter and avocado pizza, Leonardo says that he has been "Pizza faced". Although never appearing in this series, there was a Playmates action figure called Pizzaface.
4. The Starcruiser was said to have 83 trillion miles on it by Raphael. This would calculate to just over 14 light years, which is far enough to travel to just 34 stars in this galaxy despite originating from Dimension X.
5. This episode was animated by Murakami Wolf Dublin.
