That is a really sh*tty way of maintaining a company. 'Maintaining' is used loosely here.
It's also sad to know that the place 'Where A Kid Can Be A Kid', will no longer be around for anyone / everyone to enjoy.
Like Inaheap mentioned, I also wonder if TrU will go on to be an online store. For example, Circuit City became an online store after it ceased to be a physical superstore chain back in 2009.
