I do that with all fighters, just do random matches and set the CPU to normal/hard difficulty and see if I can beat them. I usually go through a whole roster of characters since I never stick with one fighter and I like to play as everyone.

If you're waiting to do that with FighterZ then don't, story mode is attrocious and single player gets boring fast, if you don't intend to play it against others there's nothing for you there, sure the game is gorgeous but that is not enough to grip you once you've seen everything.
