Episode 71: Four Turtles and a Baby
Written by: Misty Taggart

Voice Cast:
James Avery: Shredder
Cam Clarke: Leonardo, Rocksteady
Townsend Coleman: Michelangelo
Jennifer Darling: Irma Langinstein, Gizzla
Pat Fraley: Krang, Burne Thompson
Barry Gordon: Donatello, Bebop
Renae Jacobs: April O’Neil, Woman in Baby Store
Tress MacNeille: Tribble
Rob Paulsen: Raphael, Zenter
Peter Renaday: Splinter, General Traag
Unknown Voice Actor: Pizza delivery boy

Mistakes:
1. Raphael's belt initial was white when he jumped into the air to attack Bebop.
2. Bebop speaks in Rocksteady's voice when he said "Turtles" after they bumped into them before the fight at Channel 6.
3. April's rotary phone has only eight holes, whereas a standard rotary phone has ten holes.
4. When we see Tribble climb out of the news studio and we see a shot of the outside, Tribble, Irma, and April are shown only halfway up the Channel 6 building. In the episode "Super Bebop and Mighty Rocksteady", the news studio was directly below the roof.

Catchphrase/Insult Countdown:
1. Krang instructs Zenter and Gizzla to try not to be an idiot when in the Technodrome's control room.
2. Shredder calls Rocksteady and Bebop idiots after they suspect they hear a telephone ringing instead of the SpectroAnalyzer after they arrive in the sewers.
3. The Turtles say "Go Green Machine!" during the sewer battle.
4. Shredder calls Rocksteady and Bebop morons after Rocksteady believes that Tribble is hanging out at a baby disco.
5. Michelangelo says "Cowabunga" as he leaps toward the fire hydrant next to the Channel 6 building. Raphael also says "Cowabunga" as he rides up the hydrant's water pressure to rescue Tribble.
6. Shredder calls Rocksteady and Bebop idiots after they come through the portal near the TV shop.
7. After the news report with Burne and Tribble, Shredder calls Rocksteady and Bebop dimwits.
8. Krang says "Oh no!" after Zener and Gizzla escape the Technodrome.
9. Shredder calls Rocksteady and Bebop idiots when they enter the Channel 6 lobby and are instructed to grab Tribble.

Pizza References:
1. At the beginning of the episode, Michelangelo on the phone requests four large smoked herring and hot fudge pizzas with double cheese.
2. A pizza delivery boy delivers a pizza to Michelangelo, right as Tribble dropped onto the pizzas from Dimension X.
3. When Michelangelo returns to the lair, Donatello calls it "giggling pizza", and Raphael remarks that although Michelangelo has strange pizzas, this one takes the pie.
4. Michelangelo cooks one large carrot pizza in a blender until Tribble uses her telekinetic powers to throw Michelangelo onto a skateboard, causing the prepared recipe to crash on top of him.
5. Part of the Vinnie's Pizza billboard is visible after Tribble crawls out of the news studio.
6. Michelangelo delivers a giant pablum pizza with strange spinach toppings at the end of the episode.

Pop Culture References:
1. The Neutrino baby Tribble was named in reference to the Star Trek TOS episode "The Trouble with Tribbles."
2. The episode title is in reference to the 1987 movie "Three Men and a Baby."
3. Zenter and Gizzla's flying car is modeled after a late 1930s/early 1940s-era automobile.
4. Shredder says "Say Bye Bye Baby" after he grabs Tribble from April, to reference the 1949 song in the musical Gentlemen Prefer Blondes and popularized by Marilyn Monroe in the 1953 film.

Fourth Wall Breaking Humor:
Raphael: "I've never hit a mutant in a dress before. It might be fun."

Wacky Inventions:
1. Donatello's Interdimensional Tuner
2. Krang's SpectroAnalyzer

Notables:
1. This episode is animated by Murakami Wolf Dublin.
2. The closing credits theme plays during the battle in the sewers.
3. April is wearing white sleepwear in her apartment as she holds Tribble.
4. Krang is seen in his bubble walker in this episode.
5. The Turtles wear Turtleneck jackets with no bandanas and blue caps as they head topside for the Baby Contest.
6. Irma says that we're 13 floors up, and given that in the previous episode "Super Bebop and Mighty Rocksteady" contained the Channel 6 news studio directly below the roof, this reveals the number of floors contained within the Channel 6 building.
7. Bebop's eyes are briefly visible when he lifts his glasses during the Baby Contest.
